since my sewing skills are non-existant; i'll probably take these to the local tailor first and have the patch & arcs sewed in place.

you kidding me !? ima noob ! i had a small hole in my jacket once and i tried to sew that together it just ended up being a huge blob of thread.... luckily its all black and in a spot not easily seen. i'll probably do the same.

How is the domestic science teaching in school these days? I remember we were knitting like grandma's back in the days...

In middle school (6-8th grade) there was the option of taking home economics. The only thing I remember making is a lumpy ass pillow. I didn't learn to hand sew until I starting putting band patches on jackets.

i think stitching is self explanatory. how hard can it get? the first time i did it was to repair my pants probably and it looked perfect the first time

well if you stitch them yourself by hand, it'll be hard.

Its a good idea to get a pro tailor to stitch the tab on if you can't sew (Like me), but I'm gonna try and sew it on myself. I think over the time period of the contest I will have more pride knowing I did it myself.

I have a 30 in APC, 29 is s5000, 30 in Okinawa, and 31 in Sugarcane 66s, and I got a 30 in the 0105 contest jeans. I sized down on all of these though, so I don't know if that gives you accurate sizing.

^^Most people sized down 1 I think. I got the 0105 in my true waist size.

Got 2 under my true waist size since there are no 35 available. But I usually buy 34s and it fits, so I hope it'll be ok.

Fuck, Gordon just told me they were 37" inseam instead of 39. I hope I'll be fine cause I'm 6'4

Yes, you probably should have read through the thread a little more. There was a production error, Gordon received them a couple of weeks ago but with FC's standard, shorter inseam. We're just waiting for some pairs to be reproduced at this point...

AFAIK, the email was sent to everyone who pre-ordered, informing of the mistake.

You were requested to contact them about getting your 39" inseam made if you wanted, or could opt to keep the 37"

i think its easier by hand because you can control it better.

I sized down two from my 'true waist' to 29".

edit: Well, what is the true waist size anyways. I wear my jeans about 3" - 4" lower than my 'true waist' and I'm size 30 in most of the jeans (Skull, Samurai, Fullcount, FH). These are quite relaxed so I thought I'd take them a bit more fitted (and I already have two pairs of 0105 )

I'm still a bit worried about having gotten them true size. They're 3" bigger in the waist than tagged, prewash, which is why most people sized down I guess. I'm really hoping they'll shrink the the full 3", especially since I'm used to slimmer fits, so these 0105 may be a bit of a shock initially...

yeah i got true to size also in hopes that they shrink the full 3 inches. i guess well just have to wait and see

with a running stitch you always have that gap in between stitches

Sounds like you may have wanted the 1108, if you wanted the slimmer fit.

No, I didn't want a slim fit, I wanted change! The 1108 would have been a little iffy for my thunderthighs.
