geezer---the canes will feel better in no time. just deal.

watchman---some have suggested lining the inside with tape, but this may not be appealing to you, it isn't to me. expect to have your sneakers smurfed. tell people your kicks are a sugar cane collabo.

Once my Canes shrink will i still have enough length to cuff them? I am also a sneaker head so i would hate for jean stains to show up

alright so i have read through the thread pretty carefully, and people are still confusing me about what size to get. Im thinking i should size down to a 33, or even a 32, since the raw 47's are said to be so stretchable. The problem is that im probably buying through juno@bidservice, so they wont be returnable. Should i just go for it and grab the 33's? it seems like if they are big or small, i can do plenty to fix that so im not that worried, but im just making sure.

why don't you buy from coldrice on this forum? he got me a pair of sugar cane 47s one wash for 173 shipped. I emailed Juno and the lowest he could do is 221 shipped for a pair of 47's

but fyi, I haven't recieved the jeans yet, he sent me a tracking number, but he seems to be a legit guy and other people have bought from him in the past

Here it is. I am a 31 waist. I have a size 31 canes 47s (unwashed). They fit very nice after a hot water wash, which is the way they wash the one wash jeans. They actually fit the way they are suppose to. I also have a pair of 30s, which fit after a hot water wash, very tight. They stretch out later though. These fit much more snug in the ass and legs. My advice if you want them more fitted then size down one size. If you want them to fit the way they are suppose to (anti-fit) then buy true to size and give them a hot water wash. The tag size on canes is always after wash. No matter if it is one wash or unwashed.

In my experience with one-wash sugarcanes (I don't know about the drys), you should buy your normal waist size, and if you want to have it fit a little tighter you can go down a size. Cause this denim does tend to stretch out a little after heavy wear without washing frequently. No need to size up in sugarcanes.

my findings concur w/ ringring haha. I'm a size 30 in APC's, 32's in D'artisans. 32 is my regular size and i ordered my 47's in 32. After a hot soak and warm wash they fit just right. High on the back with a little comfort room. I could have possibly sized down to 31's but would probably have lost the comfort factor. They run true to size

this thread needed a bump. here are some OTHER details of the SC40400N that aren't often shown in pics:

the color in the pics are all over the place, it all depends on how the light hits. most of the pics have been slightly tweaked to make the jeans look more like they do in person and to compensate for my lack of photo skills. the last picture is unfooled around with, but it least accurately represents the color.

Just finished reading all 11 pages, but I have one more question...

Are the one-wash 47s in a size 28 only available with a 32" inseam? Even though they've been prewashed, I'm worried that they'll shrink a little more once I eventually wash them making them too short for me. 32" is perfect for me, but any shorter is no good.

Sugarcane 47 bought raw in Jan.

1 Hot wash in washer, threw it in the dryer for a couple minutes, threw em on my body and let em dry.

1 Warm wash in washer early March, hang dry.

1 Warm wash in washer early April hang dry.

1 Warm wash in washer early May hang dry.

damn i can't wait for mine to wear in...

I'm wearing my SC40301-071 (Okinawa unwashed) right now and my SC40500's (Edo Ai unwashed teal) are getting a nice long soak...

Anyone got any pics on how the Edo Ai's in my color are going to look after a bit of wearing? To be honest I really can't even begin to guess. Also, any tips on how to care for the snakeskin patch on the Okinawas?

I've read through this thread a few times and I don't really remember seeing anything about stretching... what are people's experiences with stretching in SC 47's? I'm thinking about picking up a one wash in 30 and I usually wear 30 in most jeans, but those are primarily low waisted so I was considering getting a 29...

I was reading through the entire thread and I'm still confused...mainly because I don't want to take too much info in, just in case I forget knowledge for my exams over the next month.

But, I'm just about 31.5" at my belly button, so should I size down to 31, or just go for a 32?

I'm mainly asking this because I've found some 32's for around $175 which is rather cheap.

That might be a bit iffy...depends on how much laundering you're planning on doing. I did the same thing as you in terms of finding a good deal but instead went a size down... I'm regularly a 32 and got a pair of 31s and they have stretched to fit me. They certainly weren't comfortable the first couple wears, but are golden now. The only drawback is with a raw denim like this you'll want to wait a while to wash, which will give them all the time to stretch. However, given that the waist will already be large on you, I'm not sure how much further it would stretch, especially if you gave it a good soak to shrink them before wearing them. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

if your 31.5 and you get a 32, they'll fit the way they're supposed to - the classic anti-fit saggy ass kinda thing. i'm about 29.5-30 and i got the 30 and thats how they fit on me. in retrospect, i could of sized down to a 29 and i think i would of enjoyed the fit even more - everything a little tighter. depending if you get it one wash, everything will be shrunk down and you can wear it right out of the box, but if its raw, you gotta cold/hot soak whatever you want soak and get the shrinkage out of the way or else it'll be pretty big. regardless though, denim will always stretch.
