yes my vote goes there too, but its the old 42 model , wich does not exist anymore. i think the denim looks different too. still the new model looks nice too. and i guess it is accurate.

Hey Fardin,

just trawling through ebay and found this 53-56 101LJ in a sz 44.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250709525384&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Nice patina on the arms. Really solid and in good shape, and much darker than my sz 46. Someone here has gotta snap this up - in 6 years of searching this is only the second one I've seen!

Oh, and found this 191-LB. Check the condition! -

that 101LJ is awesome, But those 23" arms are way to small... other than that and I"d be bidding!

^^Agreed!

My sz 46 has 24" arms, which is just barely long enough. I have another 101-LJ (sz 46) from c.1960, and the arms on that are 25". I assumed they would be indentical.

.....Never assume, always get full measurements (note to self).

If the 191LB was in a sz 44 I would have snapped it up!

Nice shot of Marilyn, from the misfits?

That jacket sold for silly money ($2k) so I guess I got mine as a bargain.

(The left pocket of that repro jacket looks a bit odd, shape-wise).

So many actual vintage Lee jackets still out there to buy, the only repro worth having is the early cowboy jacket imo.

reposted from the jean jacket thread...

Picked this up for my son to wear...DSC06563.jpg

Nice find happy. The jacket looks in good shape - it has the last tag before it read 'union made in the usa'.

I've often thought of burdening my son with a vintage Lee jacket at some point, but one geek in the family is hard enough.

the jacket is in really good shape.

He actually wanted a chore jacket like Charlie Chaplin wore in Modern times. I haven't found one in his size yet... but when I saw this Lee I had to get it. And it was cheap too... Like $12.00 bucks+shipping. We have matching Lee's now. Although his is older by a few years than mine.

There is no way I could sleep at night knowing my son had an earlier Lee jacket than me, although my size 34 101LJ (which i originally bought for my ex) would fit him in a few years, it cost too much and sadly will be going to greed- bay.

@Fardin

A one pocket cowboy 101LJ repro from the thirties like this -

..would be awesome!

fardin, would you happen to know the name of the model? I'm just curious because it seems easy to find the rider and cowboy models but searches on this jacket have come up goose egg. I'd assume it was a copy of something from the archives but I haven't seen anything vintage like it, either.

Thanks for the europe tip, though.

the one from oipolloi is not a repro, the one on the edwin site is the 1960s model. so the details are different. and one is historicaly accurate the other is a new variation, with deatils from different periods
