some shots of my n&f x bj before they go in for a wash/out for repairs. I've had these for 2 years, not sure how much wear they have as I tend to rotate...maybe 6 months worth? anyway, wish they fit me a little better, I love the denim.

[ X - Post from Roy ]

Its been a long time since I've been around. Thought I would do an update with my Roy RS1s. I tapered off wearing jeans as my job required a change in attire. These are sitting now, freshly washed, ready for some repairs to come late June.

2.5ish years of wear. Maybe more. Many washes.

  • 2 weeks later...

Should I ever get another 60's pair I will probably wash more and go for a little less contrast.

Contrast looks fine from here, not "try hard exaggerated" but nicely lived in and natural. Great pair! And great kid ;)

Yeah indeed, but if you look at the TCB blog you can see the kind of fading potential this fabric has with more frequent washes. I didn't want an overly washed out look so I waited three months (instead of 6) for the first wash. Anyway now I am washing frequently I believe I'll get there soon!

These LVC 1955 cut 501s are what I wear around the house, they've seen some serious netflixing, walking the dog and mowing the lawn  B) I got them deadstock in January, they're made in U.S.A. (555 code on button). They've seen 4 months of wear all in all, but tons of washes since somehow I always manage to stain them with something. The top block is starting to show some fading, but the relaxed cut isn't great for getting honeycombs with all the frequent washing. I don't really mind though. The denim is relatively hairy, the pics don't really do it justice.
