I've just ordered my first mcCoy's item.

The 8HU HBT Workshirt Lot.536D in Blue.

On the face of it a great looking Herringbone Workshirt but From what I hear there'll be much more revealed when I have it in hand.

Quite excited about its arrival.

I've been admiring McCoys from A-far for a while now, thought it was time to jump in!

Next on the list an N-1 when I'm in Tokyo ;-) (or realistically a sweat to start with)

Will post up pics when it arrives.

Cheers

I have the 8HU HBT Workshirt in Khaki.

It's a beautiful shirt, you won't regret the purchase.

The fabric gets even better with a soak or two.

Still patiently waiting for BiG to restock the 991 and put the XH online. How would those of you that have been able to experience both compare one another? I've been looking to get a lighter-ounce pair of jeans, but both are pretty light compared the the Samurais and Dry Bones collabs I've been wearing for the last few years.

Shirt's arrived - 8 Hour Union in Blue HBT

Fit = Perfect.

Quality of construction = Perfect too.

Very pleased with it. So much so that I'm wearing it straight out of the packaging instead of taking the time to photograph it for you all.

Any tips on how to stop the Chainstitch runoff from unravelling over time?

I'm happy to not do anything to them but with washing etc I can see them coming undone.

Is this right or am I being too precious about it (I already assume I am)?

Thanks

^^ I usually cut off the surplus chainstitch and manually bartack them at the cut-off point. I think they look messy and make the shirt look unfinished.

EDIT: By manually bartack, I mean sew by hand, no sewing machine required.

Alternatively, just tie them in a knot high up beneath the bottom of the shirt and snip them off.

^I don't know if your referring to the pullover or the zip up hoodie

But, comparing my pullover hoodie and my crew neck:

Chest is wider and length is shorter (doesn't really make sense lol)

In general pullover is way more boxy

I wouldn't size down though, I took the same size

After some wear and wash the excess fabric in the width forms in a nice way to your body, so its okay if it seems baggyish on the chest/stomach area when you first get it

But, if when you get it you find it too short, your screwed, cuz if anything it will shrink about .25-..75" more with wash
