Just a heads up.

There'll be another big time party at Self Edge this Saturday night.

It's a combined party...

It will be a Style Forum party and Vintage Motorcycle Show thing.

Paul D'Orleans, the Vintagent, will be there with vintage bikes, and some of the Bay Area's best custom motorcycle and moped builders will be there.

Party is from 7pm to 10pm, come by for some beer and grease action.

If I am an Extra Large in this:

http://www.selfedge.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=71&products_id=355

What size would I be in this:

http://www.selfedge.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=71&products_id=317

The XL flannel is a pretty slim fit on me. I know I can compare size charts, but I think I remember reading that these flannels were cut smaller than usualy and their size charts are off.

Maybe Peterock will chime in. I think he owns every shirt Self Edge ever carried.

You'd be a large in the Super Black shirt.

Mister Freedom - The Third and Final Chapter

The last chapter of the "MFSC Naval Clothing Tailors" has unfolded.

The two previous collections, Spring 08 and Fall 08, captured the working gear and duty clothes that our Sailor had custom tailored in local ports during his 10 year service at sea in the Merchant Navy.

His duty Tour ended in 1946 in the waters of the Indian Ocean. Thereafter the whereabouts of our Seaman are unknown, but his wooden personal locker recently surfaced in a Southern California estate sale.

Unopened for over 60 years it contained a collection of his personal clothes, tailor made for his private use, when on shore leave and off duty.

The designs of this personal wardrobe came from the "MFSC Naval Supply Research" department and some items were labeled as "Experimental Garment" and made in very limited quantities as test pieces. None of them were intended to be worn on board during service, but rare photographs show our Sailor proudly sporting these garments while at liberty on some Indian Ocean shores...

The locker contained:

MFSC JS-09: A white denim Shore Jacket

MFSC PS-09: A pair of denim trousers

MFSC 645-N and 645-W: Two off-duty custom color Chambray shirts

MFSC SS-09: A pair of white denim Bermudas

MFSC VS-09: A multi-pocket denim vest

All these items are now available in extremely limited numbers in-store and in our online store and now even come in women's sizes; check the online store for full spec lists for all six items:

I want to pick up a pair or two of denim this weekend during the sale. Right now I have the Self Edge X Dry Bones in rotation and that's it.

I was thinking either:

Sugar Cane X Self Edge 06 size 36 (had to sell my 34's because they were too tight)

Skull 5010 size 34 (tried these on in a 33 before and they were too tight so I think a 34 would be good)

Want to wear the dry bones and have one other jean in rotation for the summer.

Does anybody know how big the leg opening is on the skull size 34 if you get them hemmed to a 32 or 33? How do most people wear these? Stacked, cuffed, slight break at the shoe? I don't know if I'd be able to stack them with if they have a bigger leg opening.

After three years we thought it was time to finally have a party for Style Forum, a website dedicated to all things stylish and refined. This Saturday night from 7pm to 10pm come to Self Edge for a meeting of like minded individuals from the Style Forum realm.

Along with the Style Forum party we're having a very special guest by the name of Paul d'Orleans,

Paul d'Orleans is 'The Vintagent', writing about Everything Old Motorcycle on his popular website: http://www.thevintagent.blogspot.com/.

His work has been published from Maximum Rock 'n Roll to Metropolitan Home, and he's not-so-secretly a Style Forum fashion hound, having been a Style Forum member since 2007. Like the Grail, he's on a constant search for stylish clothes which can take the abuse of leaked oil and road grit, as his bikes are inevitably Very Old and Very Leaky.

Please come this Saturday night, April 4th between 7pm and 10pm while we ogle vintage motorcycles, drink locally brewed beer provided by Self Edge, and talk shop whether it be about vintage denim or motorcycles.

We're encouraging anybody with a motorcycle or moped to come to Self Edge saturday night for some showing off. There will also be some vintage mopeds coming from the local moped outlaw scene.

7pm to 10pm

April 4th, Saturday

Style Forum and Vintagent Party.

Come get your style and motorcycle talk on, everything in the store will be 15% off.

Wow Kiya, that's quite a steal!

Spend $200 and get a free $190 shirt? I really wish I could make an in-store purchase, but I'm all the way in TX =(

I'm with you, I wish I could make an in-store purchase as well. I was super excited when I saw that part about the free shirt, until I got to the last part about in-store only.
