anyone have a well worn ed39 pics? would really appreciate it if you would post some fit pics.

Also do they shrink at all in the first wash around the waist. I had a choice between waist size 31 and 32. I decided to go for the 32 as the 31 was too tight around the waist. the second to top button was border line struggle to put on and the top button required me breathing in top button it up. That only left one option to buy 32 waist except that felt marginally loose around the waist not saggy or falling off type of loose waist, just 1cm less would have been perfect. Now the problem is it's sanforized and dont know if i can get the waist to shrink. Any Advice will be very helpful thanks .

I own other Edwin denim and on those ones like ed55 and ed 75 i fit waist size 30.

After buying waist 32 and further testing I realised I made a mistake 32w was too big for me. Took the tube back to central London today and exchanged it for 31?waist as they are suppose to fit snug and the Edwin store sales assistant told me the waist will stretch. He even told me to put the 31w on and he check how they fit and said it’s a perfect fit. I also gained a few pounds over Christmas so I am confident the new pair will fit me just fine. Now the question is do I wear raw or soak and wear one wash. I will do a few fit pic in a few months after breaking in. I finally found an Edwin with perfect back rise very similar to the back rise of Levi’s 501. From knee down it has a very slight taper almost straight leg. The leg opening is almost a cm less compared to the knee. I have worn LVC 501made in USA worn once. But will store them now as they will be more in demand soon. These nice ED 39   Will be taking over the job.

The tag suggests they are unwashed so I would soak before wearing mate

Thanks Geeman ok will soak.  i can get all the shrinking out of the way this way instead of wearing raw and washing later which can also create blow outs and random fades in wrong areas after drying

Finished the soak all dried up fit perfectly waist was snug to begin with,!but within minutes it got more comfortable. Exactly the type of fit I was looking for. Fits pretty much like the non selvedge 501 u get from any regular store there are slight differences of course. back rise is perfect as too many Edwin ED Numbers with too low of a back rise. I put it next to my regular 501 in the pic below

. Also own LVC made in the USA 1966 that one I am now storing away

Further update/review of ED-39.

After wearing a full day i have to say this is a brilliant fit. Thanks to Edwin for bringing this back. I can confidently say now they are one of my best denim in my collection. i have owned so many brands and for the price your not going to get much better than Edwin's. There is enough space in the thigh area to make it comfortable. also the front rise is very good if you like a tiny bit of space there if you know what i mean. Back rise very similar to any standard 501 maybe marginally higher.

For those that are looking for denim that has regular/classic fit (501) with a slight modern twist than this is for you.

The Edwin website does this denim fit no justice, as they have some very skinny models wearing them and maybe even wearing them a size up. Wearing it in person the fit was totally different to what it seemed to be like on the Edwin site. Good job i did a google image check. it's a classic fit straight leg very subtle taper but if you like tapered fits don't buy this go for ED-55. (back rise is slightly lower on the ED-55 fit).

I have recently started taking gym very seriously and started to get some gains on my legs. and like to use the leg press machine so again having extra room in the thighs is a plus point.

This comes in both red and rainbow selvedg. Red pairs are 14oz and the rainbow pairs are 12.8 oz

Anyone with big legs or athletic build that is looking for an everyday comfortable pair of denim look no further than the ED-39.
