Two new flannels from Indigofera landed this week.

The ever popular regular fit Norris flannel is now available in a green and indigo block check.

The fabric is shuttle loomed in Japan.

 

The lighter Dollard flannel has a very soft handle. It has a navy, brown and turquoise colour palette and features sawtooth pockets and cuffs. Andrew is wearing a medium in both shirts. He is 182 cm tall and weighs 85 kg.

The Iron Heart Shell Cordovan Mid-wallet is one of those pieces that amazes me for its sheer beauty. The leather and craftsmanship are exemplary. We now carry the mid-wallet in oxblood. In short, it is a masterpiece.

 

It features a cream calf leather interior and Iron Heart solid silver ring for attaching a wallet chain.

There are plenty of card holders and a zip coin pocket.

The dimensions are 5.75" by 3.75" and 1" thick. It slims down considerably with use.

There was a big screw up with this.

Earlier this year we had a server issue and about 10 days worth of emails were irretrievably lost. This included the order request for the x009. Basically, I missed out.

PBJ now knows I will always restock any of the jeans we carry and we won't let this happen again.

Our much awaited collaboration with Viberg has arrived. This is a service boot using Horween's Latigo Navy leather, built on a 1035 last, with a Vibram Moreflex Christy sole. The heal counter uses the same latigo in rough out leather offering a subtle and elegant contrast. The Viberg family has been making boots in British Columbia since 1931 and and is the paradigm of quality footwear. The beauty of this collaboration is that it offers the elegance of a service boot whilst having a more lightweight but hard wearing sole.

The leather on the Colour 8 Chromexcel Service Boot has a  deep rich oxblood tone and ages stunningly over time. The boot features a Dainite sole, a natural Midsole and partially structured toe. We opted for a plain toe cap over the brogue finish for cleaner look. It comes on the 2030 last like our Boondocker.

The Iron Heart 555-03 super slim and super black jean will fade with high contrast. It is made from 21 oz. denim and is doubled dyed. They are sanforized and feature polycotton constructional stitching, lined back pockets and a thick leather patch. James is wearing size 33w. He is 188 cm tall and weighs 83 kg.

Couple of quick shots of my wife getting ready for a Saturday night on the razz in Liverpool (a night on the lash with the mad scousers is a must do at least once if you ever make it to this neck of the woods). She also wore these jeans with a pair of duck boots and a big woolly jumper for a hangover clearing walk to the pub for sunday lunch through the wirral marshes. Next week she will be wearing them to visit a tattoo parlour in the east end of london and for cocktails in the sky at a london hotel. Ideal for all occasions! Not entirely sure on the makeup of these (nod to IHF123) other than it's a 14oz selvedge indigo denim called s-gene. The 'stretch' in these comes from the four way weave and works wonders.

 

3sixteen 77bsp womens selvedge skinny, size 27. Picked up at Rivet & HIde a couple of months ago.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The fit on these just improves with every wear, it's quite something.... Oh, and apparently they are VERY comfortable.

 

 

Danny, hope you are around next week - I will be popping in to pick up a 3sixteen hoodie and try a couple of the stevensons for size. Also, any chance the 3sixteen Kibata will drop that week?!

For those looking for a wider choice of straight cut jeans we have now introduced the IH-634ii released for the first time in 2015 by Iron Heart .

This 18 oz. double indigo denim does not hang around to show its high contrast fading potential and depth of character. Although the denim is unsanforized shrinkage is minimal. The one inch reduction in the waist post soak almost immediately stretches back out. The inseam will lose 1.5".

The classic Iron Heart western shirt appears this spring in a double indigo chambray with woven pinstripe pattern.

This is a 7.5 oz fabric, ideal for the warmer months. The shirt features white Permex snaps and a double and triple needle construction. The indigo warp and weft will guarantee a shirt that will fade with distinction.

 

We also received the super soft border pocket t shirts in blue/white and red/white along with the black printed 2015 t shirt.

The Kibata presents 3sixteen's signature 14 oz. indigo and shadow selvedge denim in its unsanforized/loomstate form. The straight leg jeans are the first to arrive with the slim tapered fit to follow in a few weeks' time.

 

Kibata is the Japanese term for denim that has not been through the process of sanforization. It has been custom woven in Okayama, Japan, by Kuroki. The jeans are then cut and sewn from this fabric at the 3sixteen factory in San Francisco, denim's spiritual home.

 

In this configuration the denim has a very different feel. It has a slubby texture woven at low tension on the shuttle loom, resulting in a rough hand that shows more irregularities in the weave. The weft yarns pop through and the loose weave allows the fabric to fade with high contrast with a deeper intensity compared with the sanforized versions.

The jeans will shrink 1" in the waist and 2" in the inseam after an initial soak. The waist will stretch out one inch with wear. If you have worn the SL fit before then move up one size with the kibata.

As well as the Pinstripe western chambray we now carry the 5. 5 oz double indigo dotted chambray work shirt by Iron Heart.

The indigo dyed warp and weft yarns guarantee a unique fade evolution. The dots have been discharge printed onto the fabric which features a triple stitched body construction and chain stitch run off. It has been washed once so has minimal shrinkage.

Mister Freedom releases the Rock N' Roll "Action Packed" collaboration shirt with Sun Surf to celebrate Toyo's 50th anniversary.

The shirt is a 50% cotton/rayon blend. It features Corozo nut buttons and shark fin collar. Check out the impressive talent of the matching pattern where the almost invisible pocket sits. Wow.

The shirt comes in a commemorative box. 

 

The Workman Shirt returns in a dark pinstripe herringbone twill. When raw the shirt is greyish but fades to blue with wear.

 

2015 sees the appearance of the Stanley T shirts. This is a lightweight fabric in the same fit as the  skivvy tee using a soft, brushed and slubby cotton. They are available in white, olive, red and the blue has a white printed MF logo. Available sizes S, M, L.  In July we will receive XL.

Viberg sizing correlates closely to UK sizing so you would choose one size down from US sizing

Popped in recently to have my FC's hemmed. Junior one again demonstrating mastery at the art, for which I am very grateful.

 

Also picked up a 3sixteen Hoody (which couldn't be a better piece for English weather - solid enough to wear on its own, well shaped and a great layering piece when the mercury drops in a pub beer garden at night). Also a pair of Stevenson 727's (see stevenson thread for pics , thanks to all at the shop for the spot on sizing advice, Danny even found a pair of his to demonstrate shrink & evo!). 

 

Stayed longer than expected in London so needed some extras such as socks. Made a guilt purchase form another London shop of a pair of Full Count and a pair of Pherrow, then went back to R & H and picked up a pair of UES. Should have just got 3 UES. The other two are fine, well made and perfectly useful, but the UES are next level and the ideal alternative to the longer Anonymousism socks i usually wear.

 

Apart from anything else it was also damn nice to just have a time out from the hubub of central London and chat about denim, tattoos, travel and life in general with some thoroughly decent chaps. The Charlotte street area of London is a haven hidden in plain sight behind the madness of oxford street and well worth a visit for a pint, coffee, cocktail, glass of wine, hair cut, pair of jeans, leather jacket, cigar, lunch, brunch, dinner, breakfast, whatever - it's all there.

We have now received the long awaited Kibata denim from 3sixteen in the slim tapered fit in both indigo and shadow selvedge denim.

The 14 oz. fabric is woven at low tension on the shuttle loom and the result is a slubby texture and coarse hand. This fast tracks the denim on its fade evolution with impressive results. The fabric is totally loomstate meaning it has not been through the process of sanforization. The denim needs an initial soak and will shrink one inch in the waist and two inches in length. The waist will stretch back out one inch with wear.

The indigo denim uses the same indigo warp yarns as its ST-100x counterpart but wholly new un-dyed weft yarns.
Equally, the shadow selvedge version uses the same warp with new black weft yarns.

The fabric is a 100% cotton 8 oz. fabric with both warp and weft yarns rope dyed in indigo.

It has been rinsed once (will not shrink) and features a western style back yoke and snap buttons.

Andrew Chen and Johan Lam, owners and designers of 3sixteen, fly to London for the official launch of our first collaboration. The RH-15x is a new slim tapered jean that uses a 15 oz. denim woven by the Kuroki mill in Japan. The denim is crunchy with an appealing sheen, sanforized yet slightly slubby. It's not going to disappoint those looking for killer fades.

 

We are really excited that Andrew and Johan are making such an effort to cross the Pond to be here for the launch. We'd love you to join us for the event and a beer or two on Friday 10th July from 6-9pm.
