Evolution of Leather Goods: Before and After Pictures

Recommended Posts

Never. About 6 months after I got them (had them for like a year and a half now, maybe) I got them out and was about to oil them but decided to just see where they would go naturally.

The leather is definitely starting to get pretty dry in some places (you can see in the 3rd picture), so I may end up oiling them sometime soon, after all.

Monkeyfresh - what did you put on that wallet ? Some kind of beeswax ? Looks really greasy...

thats probably from smothering the wallet with obenaufs leather oil and LP lmao its not gonna touch any more till a good year...

i might wanna clean it up though it has indigo stains in a few spots id like to get rid of...

anyone have experience with obenaufs leather cleaner?

those just look like a poorly taken care of pair of leather shoes.

i think conditioning and polishing them might have been better in the long run.

Well...that's basically what they are, so that makes sense.

I still like how they look.

And I disagree, but you're opinion is welcome.

They have indigo stains all over them and I wear the shit out of them. I do keep trees in them usually, so they aren't totally neglected :)

where did you get those desert boots?

If you are talking to me, then they came from a Clarks store.

Just normal beeswax desert boots.

JL77, that Corter stuff looks awesome but how are you not getting indigo all over it?

I had just cleaned it with Saddle Soap before taking the pictures. Took off pretty much all of the indigo stains.
