japaslavian, i like those. are you running a specific filter? color range looks really similar in both, but i assume them to be different places?

It's not a filter per say, but I processed them the same way.

I make a new layer in PS, and fill it with this:

swatch.jpg

Multiply it.

Then make a brightness/contrast layer and set it to +20 brightness and -20 contrast (with legacy checked).

Add a vignette if I feel it needs it.

And voila. ;)

this was taken by a member here and posted awhile back, going by his site, not sure if his name is actually Ryan Monday but it's what it says. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the type of technique (or whatever the proper term is) for this type of photography is called. I'm new to photography and hope to take pictures similar to this, but dont know how to look up this similar style; is it ultra wide landscape photography? any help would be appreciated:

That's a HDR panorama created by using software to merge multiple photographs of the scene. It looks like two angles were used (notice the bad merging artifacts down the center of the image), and at each angle, multiple exposures were taken.
