the 70-300, in my opinion is crap. It's a slow lens. If you want a REALLY good, fast zoom, get the new 70-200 f/2.78G VR. Let's put it this way, you get what you pay for...and let me guess, you're not paying much for that 70-300?

Its an HO scale model railroad. A tilt shift lens wasn't used. I used the 85 1.2 stopped down to 1.4.

Been doing this project for photography class about "memories". It's based on the idea that when something becomes a memory, the actual image changes to something else than the actual truth.

This is a selection of the first results. Not sure if I'm happy with these.

^thanks man, going to listen to that. my teacher actually really liked the abstractness of my pictures. it stands for the fading of the actual happening, when it becomes a memory.

i'm not sure if I like that so much myself though. the pictures itself are kind of boring, but the weirdness makes it look cool.

Thanks guys, I used ISO100, f14, 1/250 with a 430exii a few inches to the side of the face on 1/64 power. No other light in the room.

Good stuff. I'm starting to experiment more with my 430exii, especially on location work. It's pretty damn good!

Developed my first roll of film in months a bit earlier, Tri-X 400 in Rodinal. Have an epson v500 coming in tomorrow, so will post scans. A friend dumped all the B&W processing chemicals I needed, so why not.

and i just remembered how much i love film.
