thanks jewbagel. i didn't have a lens hood and am using a mediocre Hoya UV filter. The lens is pretty good (Canon 24-70mm f2.8L) so i'll try upgrading my filter and getting a lens hood.

My advise is loose the filter and always shoot with a hood.

I dream of going on a roadtrip, from New Jersey all the way to Cali, then maybe then head to Vancouver, and eventually to Toronto/Montreal, and back down to New Jersey, with my cameras on hand of course. Has anyone done a east-westcoast roadtrip?

Theres not to many harder on equipment than I am and I have glass thats 30 years old, the glass is almost goos as new, thats never had a filter on it for protection.

Took these a couple of years ago from the beach out the front of my house.

Does anybody have anything similar in a bigger size, or even a stock photo?

I dragged these from my Zune, the orginals are on a hdd that bit the dust a while ago. I want something similar to print out poster size for my mum for her birthday.
