Hey, so you dudes that shoot film, what kinda hardware are you using to scan this stuff?

Are you doing negatives or the photos themselves?

I've got like, stacks of stuff just waiting to go digital, but I want to make sure I don't buy a piece of shit scanner, na mean?

It really depends what you're scanning.

MF or 35mm.

I'd stay away from Canon Scanners, because i myself have had bad experience.

It also depends on your budget.

If you have alot of $ then id go with A Nikon Coolscan 9000, amazing piece of machinery.

If you're only trying to spend 600 tops then a Epson V700 is the way to go, its the best Flatbed scanner you can buy.

For around 200 dollars you can get an Epson V500 which is what i have, and does a superb job.

you may want to buy custom negative holders, because the ones that come with the scanner aren't to good. If you need help with actually scanning i can help, just PM me.

Last one is a Richard Prince inspiration. Now if I could just sell it for a million dollars...

leica / kodak tri-x / rodinal

must spread rep, but your shots are great. No real critiques except that I'd like to see some more color shots from you.

I would have liked this better if it were straight on. From an angle like this, the eye is drawn away from the central subject and the symmetry is obscured. Other than that it's nice.
