  5. Received my Alden loafers today, for factory seconds they seem to be pretty solid! There's some small cosmetic flaws but nothing that I'd think too much about for the price. It's surprising how comfortable they are right off the bat, no break in period needed. The moc stitching is a little disappointing since I've seen photos of the LHS versions, but given the price I paid I'm happy with these. Feel like I've officially reached peak menswear.

  16. Yes these look great! Re: cosmetic flaws, firsts have those as well so don't worry! The top down view puts to bed any concerns of mine around them looking too pointy with the machine stitching. Very nice pair of loafers, look to fit you really well, peak menswear indeed!! haha 🙃

  17. Is the mock moc stitching on the machine sewn version even some transverse to the leather, or is it just two rows of straight stitching right through to the inside (mock mock moc)? Either way they look great on you

  20. Just received the Longshoreman in wabash from Seiichiro-san. I really like this cut, and I've been looking for nice wabash pants. Right now, it's way too hot to wear long pants in Seattle. Soon though... (Most accurate picture on pic #2.)

  23. I have to wonder where in the process this was seen as a good move. Especially since the brand already carries -ws products in stock on ms at the moment, there are many available substitutions at a lower price point. I get that ACR isnt supposed to care blah blah, but it feels like a poorly thought out release and like a project that will never break even. I dont see these selling. I agree with the gripes about the J100 title too, wasted opportunity.

  27. Mill Reef Gallop Oxfords, got these from Canvas in late 2020 Really cool shoes but they didn’t hold up great. Main complaint is the rubber at the heel coming delaminated and flapping around within just the first year or so; they haven’t seen a ton of wear since then

  28. Old Nigel Cabourn joints, got them on sale from Speedway in maybe 2018 Really like the discoloration of the canvas at high-sweat points, and the way the tongue has held creases and the laces have worn through the taping

  30. I received a vintage Levi's type 3 recently and I think I have the date narrowed down to 1969-1971. Hoping someone here knows more! Sorry for the terrible balance on some of the outdoor photos. The denim has some nice character and I love the crinkly collar. 525 button stamp (El Paso) Single row of stitching at the bottom button hole. After soaking in vinegar the buttons oxidized.

  33. @yung_flynn those Kyoto look great and a perfect hayashi-san style! With the colour and everything they are really close to the Resolute 710. I never had a pair of Kyoto (would need a W36 in them) so I didn't know the rise is lower than on Resolute 710. Sp the lower rise combined with the slim fit makes them probably a no go for me. One pair to cross off the "need" list @blooming The 220A look perfect as well! Some Mercari items: Shins era 66XX in W34 in quite a good condition: https://www.fromjapan.co.jp/japan/en/special/order/confirm/https%3A%2F%2Fjp.mercari.com%2Fitem%2Fm92968816353/13_1/ And a Sins era XX in W30 in perfect one-wash condition, good price https://www.fromjapan.co.jp/japan/en/special/order/confirm/https%3A%2F%2Fjp.mercari.com%2Fitem%2Fm33729224263/13_1/
