My natural indigo 1880s were a bit grubby so I gave them a handwash. For those who haven't seen them before, this was pretty much LVC's last model and, more significantly, Cone's last new fabric, an 1880s nautral indigo repro, using indigo grown in the US. It's a bit dark and my hands are a bit shaky (hangover) but this gives something of an impression. My previous natirual indigo jeans included the early Levi's Nevada/Kurabo, the SDA, Sugarcane; this is easily the nicest fabric. Crocks quite a lot but doesn't wash out, lots of crinkling. These are close to the perfect place, so for the summer I've switched to my old 1890s single pocket pair, which are Kaihara fabric I think - nice, but the slubbing is far more regular, Cone really mastered a more random slub on what would be their last new Levi's style fabric. The other pic is the field that supplied the indigo, harvested at dawn.17 points

So... after a tip-off from our very own Mr Denime (thank you @beautiful_FrEaK), these 10th Anniversary Orrizonti era in a 1937 style cut landed Some rough and ready fit pics First pics are raw; second after a cold machine wash, a 30C machine wash and after wearing today I'll post measurements later for those interested. The rise is definitely lower than I usually go for but they're growing on me. I'll need to see @Mr Black for a hem soon5 points

Very cool scores. Would be interested in seeing some more detail shots of the sack jeans, since they never made the rounds1 point

Yeah but I’ve never personally tried that type of service yet. They claim if the item in the physical store is out of stock during purchase, they’ll refund or you can get a different style. You have to tell them which alternate style you want though if still interested. It’s in the order form option. I’ve wanted some exclusive Phigvel collaborations that were available in-store only not online but never pulled the trigger yet. I’ve seen some stores, mostly advertising on Instagram, who do not ship at all and only sell out of their physical store regarding brand collaborations etc.1 point

I ended up ordering the 11.5 oz 1101 from Celluloid. They were $211 shipped.1 point

@mlwdp Do they really (still) charge this: With FromJapan you pay 300 Yen as a fee and that's it. I know some shops work together with Worldshopping or Buyee and make it quite convinient but yeah, these days a 10% fee is really too much for with so many cheaper options.1 point

I got my first pair of FC 0105 (their 13.7 oz denim) from Celluloid back when Bears had their first price hike of FC. I paid like ~$185 or so.1 point

I have the newer model Buzz sweat in olive and I don’t rate it at all. I’ve had it for about 9 or 10 years I think and it’s relegated to slobbing around the house wear. It’s too thin and shapeless, it just hangs, and is way inferior to my Deluxewear sweats and the older style Buzz ones. I bought a size L but should probably have bought M and it would fit better - I based sizing off their old models which came up smaller. I wouldn’t buy another, even heavily discounted as there are many better alternatives.1 point
