hmm i dun really get chainstitching....its done on the inside of the jeans right? so how does it make it look like they have not been tailored?

^^ dont be so elitist can. if people didnt want to sell their stuff and keep it all underground, we'd all also be damn blur..

chainstiching is a special type of stitch which is very strong, used on the insides of your legs, back yoke, waist band, etc, points which have the most stress, so as to avoid the jeans falling apart.

it doesn't "make it look like they have not been tailored"

some people just want the chainstich at the hem, as its thicker, or possibly because they want to maintain the integrity of the jeans on some level?

punk me, bitch.

I went over to the levis shop at Raffle City just now, to check on the sold out LVC which i saw it on displayed the last time i went there.

http://www.rakuten.co.jp/hinoya/141935/141937/339498/

I can say that it's 90% to 100% the same with this LVC except that it's not a LVC.. it is in the 501 stay true series.... it costs $398.... since it's not LVC i backout.... anyone interested can get it from there... left size 30 and 36 i think.

i agree, then all the boys & girls will be wearing them, our denimhead reputations & values depreciates !!!!

so the less people know about it, the better ......

that's just ridiculous. what on earth is "denimhead reputations and values"? you mean you're proud of yourself because you've bought denim that no one else has?

i say the more good denim being worn the better. frankly when i wear my APCs no one knows i'm wearing them. who gives a shit? i like how they feel, i don't see the need to brag about the brand or the fact that they cost 250 bucks. i like to talk to friends when they need help with their denim, and sometimes when i meet someone else in the business i get excited, but i don't see how there are any "reputations and values" about this shit.

A true stylish man dresses for his own enjoyment, not to feel elitist or impress others.

Not every aesthetic, including raw denim is for everyone. I think Fade to Black (another poster) was right when he said "it gets tiresome and annoying when you feel superior to everyone because of your clothing."

If i'm not wrong Inhabit at the Palais Renassiance carries Rag&Bone. But i got my RB1 at activeendeavors.com. I believe its cheaper there but i haven't gone to find out how much Inhabit sells it at. By the way if you use the coupon "styleforum" its a 15% discount.

Dior denim is around $400 in the states. I know the dollar is picking up, but the rate is probably 1.8 still, so $800 in SGD is a very high possibility.

However I think Nudies and APC in S'pore are still cheaper than in Canada. My store charges $300 CDN or $550 SGD for regular SSDS.

hi everyone, singaporean here also..

i bought a pair of APC NS from the mercer st. boutique in NY in April.. i bought a size 35 (i like wearing my jeans fitted with some sag, and i'm a true w/34. but my 35s stretched to 37, and i replaced them with a 33 NS. to cut a long story short, the 35s are for sale! 160 and its yours, it still looks mint, apart from the upsizing, no visible fading yet, unhemmed, unwashed. there are no smells, but i can dry clean if you want. PM me for pictures if interested!

The price is enticing admittedly, but I generally wear size 32. Given APC's reputation for stretching those jeans would be humongous on me. Not a good look I think.

thats a pity.. you'd probably have to buy 29-30

even the 33s now are stretched to around 34, which is still surprisingly (to me) quite loose.. but i'm pretty satisfied with the sizing

if you have any big friends who'd like to own a pair of ns at a good price.. pm!
