how much do these pants shrink in the waist after a hot soak ? i got a chunky friend whos interested in the xx type and cuz it says "please buy em loose" i just thought they might shrink a lot, is this the case ? he's like a size 40-41.

yes, buy them loose. these jeans shrink considerably. if he's 'chunky', it will be even harder to rock a slim fit with relative comfort. don't let him spend $300+ on a pair of great jeans that kill his nuts and constrict his waist. friends don't let friends buy ill-fitting jawns:cool:. heres what you do...whatever size fits him comfy raw, size up two and there you go. it will take a few washes/soaks(and a hot dry or two) for the denim to shrink max.

Since Denime only makes up to a size 36 with the 66xx, I would try and go with the regular xx in a size 40. Still a tight fit though. I usually wear a size 36 or 38 and these were sexy tight for me and I only cold soaked them.

I agree with salaami, don't let your friends buy ill fitting jeans.

I'm in between a size 38 and 40, and looking at the measurements at BiG for the XX type regular size 40 I'd feel pretty comfortable purchasing a pair for myself. I'm willing to bet though that they'd be tight on your friend in their raw state, and unwearable once washed.

Look for something with a raw waist measurement of 42" or 43".

if you can't find a denime, there are FC and warehouse, and evisu cuts that will accomodate a stockier frame

lot#775 will be on a one month sabatical due to my involvement in the FH world tour. after you see the 9 week/9 wash pics, you won't be mad. a month off will be nothing, they are already at like 9 months of ''regular sufu wear''. i love this denim cause it's so damn rough and grainy. it shows almost no warp slub, even in the worn areas. unique coarseness to it...

keep in mind that salaami is the chef of denim.he loves his jeans well done,not raw.that means a proper wash for him starts around 80°-100° celsius cooking temperature.i suppose this pocketroping will be possible after one wash in above conditions.

sizing question; is it possible to get same tag size as actual waist size? I always size down 1 from actual waist size because of my chicken legs. My denime kyoto's have the same tag size as my actual waist size and although they are still very tight around the waist, the fit around the legs is definitely what i wanted. Can i do the same with the 66XX denim?

my brother - who i bought the 66xx for - wanted a slim jean. his true waist is a 34 but we went with the advice of others and went a size up. he tells me now he could've went true.
