Eternal Jeans

Recommended Posts

Fantastic... I just unwrapped these a few hours ago. Awesome Xmas present. icon_smile.gif

Exactly what I wanted: slim legs that aren't tight, beautiful, rich, heavy, stiff Japanese denim that is so dark blue it is almost black, and the perfect size (size 34 measures about 32" in the waist -- nice slim fit on me, and should fit perfectly after a week of stretching).

Thanks to djrajio for his assistance in getting me these jeans. Great service.

Here's a (terrible) preliminary picture:

Thanks guys, I really love them.

hap -- probably gonna do something similar to it, yeah. Probably wear them 2-3 months before the first wash, then wash about every six weeks afterward in warm water and minimal detergent.

tangerine -- 14.5 oz, nice narrow selvage.

Handlethevibe -- the leg opening is fairly small. I haven't measured exactly, it looks to be around 8".

I will post more pictures soon, I apologize for that awful dark picture.

couple more pics, taken by my girlfriend with her new Nikon D70. Not great pictures but she's learning icon_smile_tongue.gif

edit -- digital_denim: apparently there is an "Extra Tight" version, yeah. These are the normal 811s. They're not tight, but they are slim. That Warriors t-shirt is probably 12 years old, from when my sister taught at a basketball camp in high school and met some of the Warriors. It still has a player's signature on it... it fits me perfectly now icon_smile_shy.gif

I was going to get them in size 30, which might actually have been too small, but they dont make 31's. I know we dont wear the same size so youre not on my lsit of suspects ;)

I think I'm going to get some skull jeans instead.

looks sick minya. are the eternal 811's shrink to tag size like sugarcane 1947 (i.e. a size 32 is actually a size 34 before the first wash).

is a japanese bidding service the best way to get these?

After about 10 days of wearing these jeans, they have quickly become the best jeans I've ever had. I had no idea my legs would look so good in slim jeans, haha. Perfect slim straight leg silhouette.

Not a felled inseam. It's a "plain" overlock stitch, I think. Looks sturdy, however.

Okay, thanks. Did you order from bears? If so, could you measure the waist by putting upper edges of the two sides of the waist band parallell to eachother so that you get it completely straight? I'm asking because I want to know how accurate their measurements are.

btw, I think there is no such thing as an 811ET :( There are two places that sell them as 811ET's, but the measurements are the same as the 811's. I guess I was fooled because they look slimmer on some pictures, or maybe someone's measurements are a bit off.

well, djrajio got them from Bears, so yeah...

I'm pretty sure my pair was actually smaller than Bears' measurements. I believe my pair measured about 81-82 cm at first, which is actually 32" or even less (I got a size 34). I cannot for the life of me find my measuring tape, but I believe they are an even 34" right now. In general, Bears' measurements should be spot on, with maybe 2 cm give or take.

so after stretch and all they're the perfect size for you in the waist now?

ie, you bought the correct tag size, and they came small but stretched to perfect?

are they sanforized?

Yeah, exactly.

I don't think they're sanforized, but they only come rinsed, so it doesn't matter anyway. I'm guessing 95% of the shrinkage has already happened.

I'm really curious to know if anyone can confirm this (all Eternal 811 are the same model.)

The "ET" model that I have does not say ET on it anywhere, just 811, so I think 'jinx is correct.

They will shrink back to their original size (before stretching).

As for the sizing, my pair is a 32 and it came pretty much true to size.

These are an absolutely amazing pair of jeans from Japan in the "One Wash" model.

I bought these off of Tate and Yoko during their sale and got them hemmed to 30.5 inches.

Unfortunately they don't fit me and I can't return them after they've been hemmed. I've only worn them for an hour around the house and they are too small. Probably will not stretch enough for me to use them.

Comes with tags and everything. Get them for a steal. They retail for $275 US! And even Denimio charges $178 for them.

Listed price includes shipping in North America. Contact me if you want a quote for elsewhere.

Using spended weft dyes from Kurashiki Kojima in Okayama Prefecture, we present Eternal's long awaited jeans. This is a 14.5oz Eternal standard model that uses original denim. Traditional looms are used to weave the cotton threads together, the cloth woven with soft tension produces a special roughness and bumpy texture. You can enjoy the three dimentional fade from the bumpy texture as you wear them. The cut is Eternal's original straight legs which has a slightly tight impression. The cloth is dyed dark so that at one glance it appears to be black, once the denims are worn to a long time they begin to fade into its true color scheme.

This material is Samurai Jean's toughest yet. Introducing Samurai Jeans S0500XX 15 oz Otokogi Straight. To make these, only American Texas Cotton was used which is known for its roughness and gives the thread rough bumpiness. The thread is twisted tightly which makes the material twice as hard. The thread was woven together at a thread count of 6 by 6. The limited deepness coloring used to dye the outsde of the fibers pure indigo without penetrating the core so fading will occure easily with wear. Unlike the other models, this pair was woven together with strong tension and to date has driven in the most tension around the waist. When you try on these denims, the strength around the waist will increase. Weighing on 15.6 oz, these tough denims are made for Samurai original denim die-hard fans. The Selvedge portion is called 「刀耳〠Seven Ears. These denims are easy to wear and around the hip and waist are balanced without being too tight above the thigh then are tapered towards the hem. This sillhouette is narrower than the S0510XX・S3000VX and a bit wider than the S5000VX・S0110XJ.
