Naked & Famous Denim

So I'm about to buy my first set of nice jeans, specifically one of the N&F skinny guys. I normally wear size 32 in standard levis, gap, etc, and have a measured waist of 33.75", does sticking with TTS mean I should order a 33" in a pair of these? Sorry if this was covered, but I could clearly figure it out from searching the thread, and wasn't positive TTS meant to other jeans or to actual waste measurements. I'm fairly skinny for my waist size, and am 6'4". I've tried on a pair of 32" Unbranded Skinny jeans, and they caused significant discomfort on my hips (not broken in of course), and was a bit tight in the groin too. Thanks.

I'm looking for some jeans that fit similar to a size 28 weird guy in deep indigo but are dyed lighter and fade better.

After some long months with my deep indigo pair I'm not satisfied with how they faded or how dark they still are.

I wish N&F made the WG cut in Natural Indigo. I think I'm going to have to look at other brands.

Well Blue Owl received both of the Paul Rose products denim, as mentioned before. Be aware these first two jeans Are Unsanforized, and will shrink.

For me the "Slim cut" looks absolutely perfect basing off of Blue Owls measurements, which are usually very accurate.

34 inch inseam for a pair of unsanforized jawnz…I'd be seriously scared to hot soak, despite the necessity.

Oh shit, didn't even realize that. I was referring to the actual fittting, mainly the thighs vs. waist measurements. As I have larger than normal thighs. But a 34 inseam does seem super short. Usually unsaforized will shrink 2-3 inches or more. Crazy stuff.(?)

I know. The 36 inch inseam for the regular cut makes more sense, but even then, dudes that are 6 feet and over are shit out of luck. Either way, I'm hoping to pop into a local shop today that carries all the N&F models to see if they've got or plan on bringing in Paulrose and see what the deal is.

Ugh I agree 100%.

I love the Skinny Guy fit and I'm a huge fan of the hue of my Natural Indigo Revivals. I wanted to try out heavyweight denim but I'm not really a fan of the darkness of their Elephant 2s. A real bummer.

Have you looked at the Natural Indigo Organics? http://www.nakedandfamousdenim.com/collection/men/weirdguy/logo-selvedge.html

They look similar, if not a tad lighter than the ones I'm wearing right now.

Their new Broken Twills may be something to look at though..

Those hank dyed look amazing and the quality looks twice as good as regular N&F

well, they did cost $777 originally, i'm selling it for a steal, any hank dyed japanese denim would run you over $500 for sure

if anyone can promise me they'll wear the heck out of it, I'll cut them a nice deal

I promise I'll wear them everyday until they disintegrate. Can I have them for $0.01, sounds like a good deal to me (:

^looks good, those combs will fade nicely. have you thought about stacking instead of cuffing? they'll get that cuffing fade above the hem.

thanks :)

Nope not at all. Prefer all my jeans to be cuffed instead of hemming. No specific reason why though. Maybe I'm too lazy?

I've seen fade pics of those organic weird guys and it's pretty meh. They get vertical lines in them and it looks like some hippie jeans.

Broken Twills are too close to deep indigo for me. I probably just need to find another brand that has a more traditional dye with a heavy taper.

their new broken twills are actually a light green denim.

However, if you do find another brand that has lighter/natural indigo, give me a shout =D

How long have you been wearing them? Mine are looking really great after a little more than a year and one wash. Give it some time. I got a pair of APC PS, and they faded really fast but my WG deep indigos really do look so much prettier.

Sounds like you're impatient. Though I do agree that the deep indigos are way too overdyed which is why they take longer to break in, but once most of that overdye is gone, it'll fade much faster. Give it a hot soak to get some of it out and keep wearing them.

Personally, I've found that faster fading jeans don't last as long, and I'd rather have a pair of longer lasting, reliable jeans. For example, I started dry denim with the Nudie Dry Japans and they were hella faded within 4 months, but they also had some major rips started at 1 month.

Maybe give the japan heritages a try. Or if you're so ready to jump brands, i'd recommend looking into sammies.

edit: Also, I'd avoid the regular indigos, those fade much much slower.

The taper on the WG is borderline too slim for me but otherwise I love mine in the deep indigos. I have not given them too much wear and wonder whether when they eventually get washed the calf area will become even narrower. I know they will stretch out again but back to a pre-wash fit even in cold water? I don't want to wear them for months and then find they have shrunk too much after a wash.

Anyone found this with the WGs?

Naked and famous Skinny Guy Camo Weft,

apparently only 1 of 250 in the world.

Brandon Svarc rubbed my thighs when I was wearing these jeans o_o

314362_10150336779086892_568726891_8563400_6232129_n.jpg

And a quick reply to the reverse fades - apparently they have a very oily texure, kind of like someone who has dipped a normal pair of jeans in paint

Any progression pics of your naked and famous camo now? You've been wearing your nudies non-stop :/

My body measurements don't add up to the sizes I buy.

I measure my waist (at the place I wear my jeans) as a 31. My sz 28 Weird guys have stretched out to measure a 30.5 waist when I pull them tight. Yet when I put them on they fit almost loose in the waist unless I have a belt.

Eh????

Anyway, they fit me really well because I have skinnier legs. Not tight at all.

The question is...what size am I in skinny guy???

Sam, the WG deep indy's don't really shrink that much. I'm not sure if you machine wash how much they'll shrink but w/ just a hot soak they wont shrink that much. At least with my size 29's they didn't.

I don't wear mine hard as I work only work in retail and don't do to much else in them but I can see that the jeans are getting a little lighter in color and they just look really nice in the sun light!! wish i had a camera to take pics : ( But I have seen some really nice faded deep indigo's with about 2 yrs of wear..just be patient
