my iron heart belt just FELL APART apart after a month of wear. both little rivets near the buckle came out/broke.

nice qc. so much for ih being so "well made".

i am very pissed.

It broke or the screws just came unscrewed?

Two completely different issues there and i'm wondering which one actually happened.

there's nothing broken, but on the one i managed to find, the screw doesn't really fasten in very well to the female end. once it's on the belt and jostled around for a few seconds it is loose again and just waiting to eventually pop out.

i can screw it in as tight as i can with a screw driver and then i can simply use my fingers to unscrew it and pull it back out. the screw is only 1/4" long and the female part is 3/8"; it seems to just unfasten itself.

surprised nobody has brought this up as it is clearly a common problem?

Why don't you just email Self Edge and have us mail you some new screws?

We seriously haven't heard of this issue up until now, and i have two Iron Heart belts that i've been wearing on and off for nearly two years with no issues.

i dont know but i think this is not even an issue at all

its like having a car and checking for tire pressure every now and then if theyre still ok..

its just a fucking 1 minute maintenance get a fucking screwdriver and fucking tighten the fucking screw every week or so

whats the problem there?

comes loose in like 5 minutes of being active, otherwise you're right, it really wouldn't be a big deal. i can't check my belt every five minutes to make sure it is still on my waist.

i suspect that longer screws will fix the problem, so tomorrow i'll see if the hardware store has some that will fit.

happened to me too. unscrewed itself . now i tighten them from time to time to prevent this!

actually happened only on the tan belt and i was wearing my brown belt more often on the CA trip - thicker leather?!

IronHeart is going to release a new Riders Jacket end of November - the 9527.

It is the same cut as the 527 and the 1527, but made out of 21oz Real Black Extra Heavy Denim.

I asked Giles from www.ironheart.co.uk about this, and he said that he is going to carry those - also taking preorders on his website!

Price is not fixed yet, but will include free shipping worldwide as usual, with three different price segments - UK, Europe and Worldwide.

Sizing is supposed to be same as 527 and 1527, but do not count on that!

Ask Giles or check the www.ironheart.jp website for updates on this ...

Also check with www.selfedge.com on this, as this cut is based on their best selling jeans jacket cut (according to CottonDuck).

Lets start that heavy denim porn!

We're not carrying that jacket at Self Edge... we're sticking with the 21oz Selvedge Denim version we've always carried.

I found the black one to be far too stiff...

So i just got the red and black normal weight flannel and i have to say i'm extremely happy with it. The fabric itself is just a really nice color combination, not to mention ridiculously warm and soft. The fit is also a fair amount slimmer than i was expecting, which ended up working out well. May have to kop some heavyweights / the white and blue regular.

I have to agree with this. I have the type 3 version super black iron heart jacket & although it is a nice looking jacket , it feels like you are wearing something made of cardboard. Hopefully it will soften up a bit with more wear but i'm not convinced yet.

Would like to hear from anyone who has the jeans. Are they uncomfortable to wear & have they softened at all ?
