Fracaps I got are sick. really classic silhouette, but comfortable as hell. Now to see how they hold up.

just copped some danner mtn light II's... quality looks superb! the tongue is lil clunky and needs to get broken in though. weird thing is, i asked for a 9.5, the box size said 9.5, but the boot was tagged 9 US, 8.5 UK, 43 EUR, so i compared them to a pair of my RW's, which were tagged 9.5 US, 8.5 UK, 42.5 EUR.... can anyone make sense of this sizing for me?? are they the same size?

they probably just put the wrong boots in the 9.5 box by accident.

The color depends on which model you choose.

The danner light looks better in brown whereas the limmer boots are much more better in black.

The brown hiking boot with red laces are more usual that is why I think the fracap in black with the off white sole are really great.

Of course brands size differently. But in general, how would you guys say mountaineering boots fit? 1/2 a size bigger?

Yeah, about half a size bigger sounds good generally speaking. Allows for some flexibility on the wool sock front, which is always nice for varying weather conditions...

Very sharp look...the Fracap's are quite similar to the Diemme 'New Tirol' Boots (with the exception of the soles).

this joint is really blowing up in the japland. as much as i love to wear red wings and danners. they are WAY too heavy in urban areas that require a shitload of walking. so i was sorta thinking of picking up these joints.
