transaction problems and disputes

I'm trying to comprehend what the difference is between "few" and "several". I'm not sure why this part upsets you.

Hello,

English is my second language, I'm french, so I do some mistakes.

Here, you're right and thanks for your explanations.

I have to rephrase what I wrote : the sale said "only worn a few times", without specify that it was already a used cloth bought somewhere else. To me, "only worn a few times" without any other informations seem like it's near new condition.

No transaction done but just to warn other sellers. DO NOT HOLD for him. He pm me telling me to stop cutting prices as he is interested and is waiting for payments to clear before paying me. Said that 99.99% he could pay me on thurs. Conveniently PM-ed me on friday telling me he don't want it anymore.

Posting my experience with zilla.

I bought the Julius Moto from http://www.superfuture.com/supertalk/showthread.php?t=153095

Firstly, the jacket is not black, although tagged as black it is more of a chocolate brown. The photos of the jacket in his post have either been darkened or photographed to make the jacket look darker than it is (intentionally or not).

Secondly, the jacket has signs of wear on the sleeves and the on the back of the jacket inconsistent to the rest of the jacket.

I have had the jacket looked at by guys from Atelier New York as well as a leather specialist in NYC. They all agree the jacket is not in good shape and was falsely advertised.

He refuses to accept responsibility for this and denies that the post has inaccurate descriptions.

Just a reminder for everyone here. _ironman ripped me off $100 around a year ago. Don't do business with the guy. Shady bastard.

Paid me, within a week he was saying the package didn't arrive (takes longer than a week to get from US to Canada in my experience) which was very suspicious. He raised a case in Paypal, I provided all the proof that I sent the item including a scanned receipt with tracking number and everything. Long story short, he got the item AND my money. Fuck that thief and fuck Paypal.

Basically, if you're a buyer, you have free reign to rip anyone off over Paypal and the seller has NO protection. Don't sell items through Paypal has been my lesson.

Well I posted about this on the sale thread (http://www.superfuture.com/supertalk/showthread.php?p=2057899#post2057899) already but might as well note it here:

Rave2ThaGrave ([email protected] or Timothy Banks if you trust the name that shows up in Paypal) took $375 for that apparently fictitious gift card. Paypal dispute is still ongoing but he hasn't responded to any of it so it is no doubt a scam. I'm hopeful I'll get my money back either through Paypal or filing a chargeback (Amex is probably good about that sort of thing).

verility

Sent this guy a payment to do a supreme pick up and communication was good until he was ready to ship. Haven't heard a damn thing from him since. He's not responding to any of my emails or pms. Been more than a week and I dont know if he sent my package. Doesn't look like it.

SAME! Sent payment a week ago and have not heard a thing. If he doesn't respond by tomorrow, I'm filing complaint.

He was on 3 hours ago apparently so if he's not returning messages, that doesn't sound good. You can always file a paypal claim against him if he's not communicating with you.

bought something from Malky....not responding. Paid a long time ago, claimed he shipped, then nothing......

any ideas?

I got fucked on a transaction with jays978

He jacked up his selling price by $15 due to the interest in the item he was selling. I was OK with this and promptly sent him the full payment via PayPal as a gift, per his request. The selling price included shipping to ConUS.

I requested shipping to Canada, at which point he demanded that I pay him an additional $20. When I asked what the additional charge was for, he said it was a fee for his inconvenience but offered a PayPal refund. I asked him to justify that cost when shipping to Canada can easily be accomplished for less than $20, and that we reason something out. I stated that I would rather consider the options than take a refund since I would eat the PayPal fee ($10+) and currency conversion due to the exchange rates. I could have provided a US shipping address if we could not agree on shipping to Canada.

Instead, he refunds me my payment without my consent, insults me, cuts off all communication, and removes his listing (presumably he sold the item out from underneath of me). I lost $25 as a result of this failed transaction, as well as the item that I had bought.

not to play devils advocate here, but I only do EMS to canada now due to fraud and it's easily $20.

true, but if you are shipping something the fees should be stated up front. Whenever I buy from someone legit they always say "xxxx is the price, xx is the shipping, and either you or I eat the paypal fees". So I know exactly how much it costs. Bottom line is that freight goes to the bottom line as far as cost of goods sold(I am a finance and accounting guy), so you need to include it. Same when I was thinking about using SharpService, he throws in shipping and fees so the buyer knows the exact amount to credit from cash.

The seller just seems like he was looking to get out of the sale to make more money, and cost the buyer paypal fees. That is definitely horseshit. He should at least refund the full cost + fees, and also apologize for being the kind of guy that probably wears a fitted cap sideways. At the office. Which is his parents's house because he doesn't have a job.

Fair enough, but that was not the situation. The shipping method discussed was USPS Priority International, which is around $20 and certainly not $20 more than it costs to ship to the ConUS.

I abide by this for my listings; it's just good etiquette as a seller. I factor in the PayPal fees and shipping (for Canada and ConUS) into my selling price. It makes it tidier, and the transaction that much smoother. What's the point of nickel-and-diming when in most cases the difference is lost after one price-drop?

The seller was in the same situation as a buyer in another transaction (i.e. paid for an item, then seller reneged), and went on to bitch about it in another thread. Not only an asshole but a fucking hypocrite too.

Has anyone ever done business with mrip?

He agreed to sell me a hoody from this listing: http://www.superfuture.com/supertalk/showthread.php?t=180456 . I sent him the payment two days ago and he has yet to give me any replies through PM on superfuture or on AIM. I recently tried PM'ing him again and it says the user is currently not accepting messages. Does this mean he blocked me on sufu? The last reply I got from the guy was on AIM yesterday morning saying he will ship the hoody later on during the day, yet he has been ignoring all my ways of contacting him.

If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
