Old school pattern - not often I’m asked to make these (much as you might think you’ve seen it before - you probably haven’t)

Wickett & Craig Bridle, Lambskin overlays, Nickel plated Steel hardware and hi-domes

ready made belt blanks? Or have you spent more on tools than you did on leather and hardware?

pre cut blank, just had to shorten and put some additional holes

Wickett & Craig skirting leather at about 10oz with one of my favourite buckle designs secured with double cap rivets

The tan and the brown versions are for sale if anyone is interested - they’ll be cut to your size and finished as per the black one which has sold

What's the width & thickness? Might be interested in the medium brown one, you're right that it's a beautiful buckle

1 ½” wide - 10oz weight (4mm) thickness

Skirting is a very firm leather - that doesn’t mean ‘hard’ per se, but it won’t feel as supple as harness leather for example. It’s a difficult leather to cut, and certainly not one I’d want to decorate with studs. I do like the finish and grain - very old school.

Thanks Duke. Gonna have to be a pass from me after all—seems right up my alley, but I convinced myself I really don’t need any more belts right now. I’m sure you’ll have no trouble finding them all good homes
