fuck, i wish i had studied something that would've prepared me to become an architect rather than a lawyer. really can't see myself honestly enjoying legal work, bleh. although apparently architecture isn't all it's cracked up to be either :/

maybe try the lawyer stuff for a few years.

but make a goal to get out and not get sucked into it for life.

i'm sure having a few years of that experience working as a lawyer will help in whatever creative career transition you are planning on doing in the future

yeah, that's what i tell myself i'll do. the only problem is the law degree involves incurring $150,000 of debt, which could take a lot of time to pay off before i'm ready to even begin thinking of transition. oh well, we'll see how things work out. everyone ends up where they're supposed to be. i guess the less-adventurous become lawyers.

Haha, it's terrible to do really well on the first, because you think you can just fucking slack off. I did the same shit in my Stats class back in college.

lol, thats EXACTLY what happened.

after 1st exam: "i got this shit, its sooo easy...i can totally slack off now!"

after 2nd exam: "awww fuck...i should really probably think about doing my hw more..."

before 3rd exam: "awww fuck...i really should have started doing my hw more..."

the last few pages were all kinds of win. especially publicly posting the FB profile. What happened with that? Did you floss with her pubes yet?

Note to self: Please stop dropping grips of your hard-earned cash on LPs every time you visit your family in boston.

Just nut up and get your advanced education on. I'm about to graduate law school and it's by far the best decision I ever made given that I was an English major in undergrad. At the very least it forces employers to not pay you slave wages for the rest of your life (unless you work for the government). You also get a ridiculous amount of mobility (from field to field and location to location).

Or I guess you be paralyzed by the fear of becoming a robot with an unromantic job.

Friends who graduated 2 years before me are currently: doing patent work in NYC, working as a prosecutor in Costa Rica, attempting to start up a hedge fund, pretending to be Arli$$ at a sports agency, becoming a professor, joined the Marine JAG corps, etc.

The jobs that show up on your doorstep (on campus) are definitely vanilla, so just resolve yourself to using your degree creatively and you'll never regret it.

still wondering how to embed vimeos...hook it up!

quote this and substitute your link. just copy the corresponding part from the coding that comes up when you click embed on the video on vimeo's site or wherever you're watching it. its basically everything after value, but no open quotes, just a closed quote after the the clip id#.
