don't get anything with vista. i know this is a rather cliche complaint, but i'm using my sister's computer right now, and i want to throw the fucker out a window. just fucking work already

i'm not a fanboy, as i've used windows/linux/mac extensively... but this is just awful. windows 7 better live up the hype

I'm waiting to see how Windows 7 turns out, but Vista actually isn't as shitty as most like to claim. I honestly just need to get rid of this shitbox I'm currently using, so anything will do me fine right now.

A good friend of mine is trying to see if he can get me a pretty good desktop for 500.

a co-worker sold me a G5 tower for $500, so that's my daily machine

i think my current problem is caused by some bug where zone alarm is fucking with firefox. after awhile firefox will stop loading pages, and you can't fully restart the program and it just hangs when you try to close it. you can't even end the process in the task manager. it requires a full system restart every time.

this problem aside, i just don't like the OS. everything is more complicated than it needs to be. i disabled the wifi connection and spent a solid 15 minutes trying to find it again, and it was not a hardware issue as my ipod found the wifi just fine.

in my short experience, vista just causes too many headaches to make up for the pretty interface. in other news, the sky is blue and the grass is green
