Found the beginning and end of this (i.e. the scenes in the house) a bit tedious and overwrought. But the scenes on the street were great - kind of like what I'd hoped Permanent Vacation would be but wasn't.

Classic, stylish Hithcock. Unfortunately I found the tension kinda waned in the last half hour due to some scenes which have dated. Though I'm sure that carousel scene woulda been pretty impressive in 1951.

Looked this up, wtf? Couldn't seem any more like Paris,Texas.

Yeah I can see the connection. But the city he wanders into is a really twisted and fucked up one, to say something without spoiling everything;) Its a typical black comedy and def worth a watch. Even though some of the scenes are a little painful to watch...
