that's one of my favorite films

the redux is flabby

nice for fans to see the extra footage but it slows down the film too much

martin sheen's hotel room scene is life-changing

Yeah apocalypse now is definitely one of my favs. but i must disagree on the redux, i actually really like both versions. the difference for me might be that i have only seen the redux at the cinema and they had an intermission which maybe balanced it out a bit....either way an amazing film and i think i might have to rewatch

you guys also need to watch, if you haven't already, heart of darkness, the documentary about the making of apocalypse now its fucking amazing. its ridiculous what they went through to make that film! also gives some incredible insight into that hotel room scene, its apparently all improvised and they just filmed sheen in a super angry drunk and depressed state on the night of his 30 birthday!
