Im over in London for a few days so i took the chance to visit the Real McCoys shop 

 

 

Great store , doesn't compare with the Tokyo shop in terms of size but still a cool shop

@Geeman havent worn them yet but they are super comfy of what walking about ive done in them and the seem solid as a rock with just the right amount of stiffness to the rubber

very curious, too! the pictures make the denim look worth investigating.

001 & 003 are straight, at least during the initial run...

maybe I find the time tomorrow to put 003 on for a fit pic.

Which pur has a wider leg and higher rise and straighter cut?

Depending on the sizing there is virtually no difference in the legs - same width, same curves, only real difference is the top block and, obviously, denim & hardware.

I sized for my waist measurement - W30 in 001 equals W31 in 003 - comparing these 2 sizes & models has the legs identical and the 003 with significantly higher front & back rise. The 003 is supposed to sit in waist (authentic) and the 001 sits lower, on the hips (modern).

If you have them both sit on your hips the crotch will drop lower on the 003.

Hey guys,

Been a long time...

Lot. 004 at almost 3 years. These weren't worn everyday and there were a few months off when I didn't wear them, washed frequently (usually about after a month of wear).

Tried to capture/adjust the pics to show their true color, but it's hard to show.

Great jeans. Both my 004s and my 991XHs have stood the test of time as my favourite pairs of denim I keep throwing on when I can't decide. Literally my default denims.

sorry, got too busy in the office yesterday...

been wearing the Lot.003 again since yesterday and I got reminded just how terribly nice they are - high rise, straight cut and some serious denim (17oz) - the Lot.S003 that you are looking for is much more moderate in regards to the denim (14.3oz) and it is, supposedly, sanforized.

Can pretty much agree on that, love the 004s, the best pair I've had so far. I had the 991 too (non XH) as my first pair of raw jeans, but those stretched out more than I expected.

Lot.003 is different from Lot.S003 - 17oz, unsanforized vs. 14.3oz, sanforized (S stands for sanforized, most likely). mine are tight now, shrank a lot and might have some stretching potential left, but it's going to be a tough fight...

Both cuts should be the same, but fit and sizing could/should be different due to denim properties (thickness, raw, sanforized) and sizing decision.

Lot.S003 might be something I should look into when I'm in London later this year...
