edit: can you describe the fit in more detail, I don't have a ton of money so if I make an expenditure this big I really want it to pay off.

how does the waist fit?

the waist fits fine. i wear a 28/29 across the board and these are comfortable, dont need a belt to hold them up nor are they constricting. i have the nyco pants (size 28 too) which are baggier (i wish the nyco cut was like these) and the waist of they nycos were way bigger before shrinking them.

the fit is looser than lets say.. levi's 511 in a 28. i think they fit similar to my APC cure (not new cure) in a size 27 (vanity sized doy).
