  4. Greetings Folks! And welcome to the 30-day DIY Techwear Challenge. My school and industry mentors have challenged me with the task of trying to create a new product - from scratch - everyday - for 30 days... I'm a second year Student of Fashion Design - studying in the city of Vancouver. Since September I've been interning at a local research and design firm to gain exposure to technical fashion design, construction techniques, and the real-world process behind bringing wild ideas to life... The studio where I intern is very tight-lipped about their outputs and involvements, however I am allowed to say that they have been quietly responsible for many of the innovations and products seen across the market - some of which I see posted quite regularly in fits around the community. My roll is still at the utmost bottom of the ladder (see:gopher), however my mentors are incredibly supportive in including me in and teaching me the in-and-outs of the nuances fashion design. To be honest I'm a bit overwhelmed by the idea of trying to create 30x products from scratch, I've never done anything quite like this before... I'm going to give it my best shot to not only come up with a new product everyday, but also document every aspect of the patterning, construction, materials selection, etc. all the way through to a finished product. I'm taking this online in hopes that of getting feedback/suggestions/criticisms as to what I should construct each day, at this point I've only a very vague plot of where to begin and what to make. Its my hope that I can share with the community a behind-the-scenes look into the production of the products we all love, while being able to experiment with new ideas we'd like to see but don't yet exist. My obsession with techwear has become clinical at this point, made worse by the simple fact that I'm a broke student very much unable to afford the level of craftsmanship in my attire which has come to haunt me. To try and fix this I've been saving every penny I can since this 30-day challenge was presented to me last November. I'm happy to say -with the support of my friends and family- I've been able to put together a small pot of funds that I can put towards financing 30-days of techwear design. At the end of this project, I'd like to be able to assemble the 30-day log and the products created into a portfolio which I can use to find a job. I'm still very new to this but it's clear to me that technical apparel and accessories design is where I want to focus my ambitions and career. With any luck this project will be an appealing application for a design position with one of the larger industry players. The 30-day countdown begins!

  15. selling my veilance blazer in 36 black (fits like a small) - gore tex fabric.. waterproof and windproof. i believe the newer versions are just windstopper soft shells - fully taped seams - slim cut, thin lapels - cobra fasteners (concealed front fastening) - one outer left chest pocket, 2 side angle hand pockets (so much better than top entry pockets), and two inner pockets (one zipped, one open) - open center vent in back just not getting enough wear as it should. i stuck on two velcro patches for a project but didn't end up using them.. doesn't affect garment in any way but can be removed with a heat gun or probably just peeling off shoulder to shoulder 16" shoulder to sleeve - 25" pit to pit - 17" overall length - 26.5" asking $350 USD shipped within canada/usa Selling my Acronym Suspensor system.. 10/10 condition never used size Medium.. complete with laptop and 2x small pouches Suspensor Harness 50 MM (removable) - Mag-Dock Adapters (2x) (Fidlock) - PC sleeve (13 inch) - 3A-MP2TS (2x) $400 USD shipped within USA/Canada

    3sixteen/Outlier/APC (S/29)

Message me if you have any additional question, want more measurements or pictures, etc... I am willing to ship internationally, PM me for a price quote. 3sixteen duffel coat in camel size S Everyone knows this jacket, one of 3sixteen's most notable non-denim offerings. Retail was $450 and I bought it about a year and a half ago. It saw consistent wear last winter but I haven't wore it since. Some light pilling on the underside of the sleeves and the lining near the hem is a bit dirty but otherwise its in pristine condition. Slim fit but room for layering, possibly even a suit if you're an XS. Heavy but not bulky wool, quilted detail shoulder yoke and a tall collar perfect for flipping up to block the wind. Real wood toggles with leather accents and smooth brass zipper, all made in USA (coat is made in NYC). Easy to dress up and down. It's an amazing winter coat and I would keep it but I've been on a bit of cop spree recently and need the space (and money). p2p: 19.75" s2s: 17" back length: 33" pit-to-cuff: 17" Asking $325 $275 shipped CONUS OBO Outlier Slim Dungarees in indigo size 29 From Outlier: Amazing pants and I can't say it better than Outlier's loquacious marketing people. Extremely hard-wearing pants, I have worn these a lot, they've been through a few washes but have plenty of life in them. The DWR treatment is still working, not as strong as it was when I first got these but still shedding moisture. I'd say the pants are 8/10. Not as stretchy as other Outlier offerings (such as OGs or climbers) but the gusseted crotch and curved waistband means very little movement restriction. Would be best for a true 29 or even a 28. waist (flat): 14.75" thigh: about 11" (+ more because of the crotch gusset) rise: 10.25" hem: 6.5" inseam: 32.5" Asking $100 shipped CONUS. APC side-zip waist dress pants Very interesting pair of pants I picked up at an APC sample sale several years ago. The waist fastening of the pants (the zipper and button/hook-eye closure) instead of being in the front of the pants, is on the side of the pants. Gives the front a very clean look. Single-pleat in a lightweight cotton twill or gabardine (I'm not entirely sure) in a purplish navy colour. Tortoise shell button and riri zipper. Excellent construction and beautiful pants, just too small for me. Never worn, only kept in my drawer for a long time. Measurements: waist: 14.5" rise: 10" thigh: 10" leg opening: 6.5" inseam: 31.5" Asking $75 shipped CONUS OBO
  22. SOLD Up for sale is an Outlier pivotal bomber in black, sz L. This jacket is amazing but I'm running low on cash and need to sell something fast. Super high quality, made with schoeller softshell-type fabric that repels water, juice, coffee, anything, and is 4 way stretch. Riri zipper, cigarette pocket on the arm with nifty hardware, all put together in the garment district of NYC. $150 shipped CONUS or best offer, cash only, paypal gift or add 4%. Fits true to size. Jacket isn't dirty, thats the cam lens. Measurements- Chest size- 40-41 body length (center back - where meets collar) 26.5" Sleeve length- 35.5" PRODUCT SHOTS of the grey version.
  23. Anyone out there want to part with one of these. I am on a non-stop hunt for the WS-J25 in a medium or a large. I am also interested to purchasing the SS-J25 in a size Medium and the GT-J28 in a Medium. I will pay top dollar for a WS-J25! PM if you are looking to get rid of one.
