I accidentally shot my friend from about three inches away with a paintball gun once-upon-a-time. After he finished rolling on the ground he shot me in the balls, and to this day I sometimes worry that I might be sterile.

my brother shot me in my baby toe. it fucking hurt like a bastard, so i shout him twice in the leg, point blank. he couldn't really walk on it for a couple of days and the bruises were so huge and swollen that you could see them through his jeans.

My 18th birthday is coming up in 2 weeks and I have no idea what to wish for.

I kind of want a MacBook Pro but I got a 12" Samsung laptop less than a year ago.

I kind of want some new lenses for my 30D but I'm not even using what I currently have to its full potential.

I don't want to ask for clothes because my parents would rather give me something than just handing me some money. Still, there's lots of AW07 Raf that looks really great.

I don't need a car because I'll be moving out of this shithole at the end of the schoolyear, either to London, Cambridge (England), New York, or Chicago. I don't even have a license, but I'll probably do it sooner or later just to have one.

I don't want an expensive watch because I'd just break or lose it, and there is no watch currently that I like so much that I'd be willing to put so much money into it.

My spring break trip to New York is already paid for.

I'm not complaining because it really means that my life is pretty good, but I can't get around the symbolism of the 18th birthday, and neither can my parents.

The only thing I have in mind is a tailored suit, but I don't want to get it tailored in Birmingham, and I'm not spending enough time in any single place this year to have it done elsewhere.

Proff, no hate but that comes over as sort of spoiled.

I get what you mean with your 18th though...

I'd go for the drivers license paid by parents, but maybe that's covered already.

Then I'd go for a couple of trips to Saville Row to get a suit tailored, it'd be worth it for sure.

But even better, ask your parents to both give you a copy of their favorite book when they were 18, and I mean serious favorite....

ps. mags in yet???

I am aware that I am a bit spoiled. In my defense, I'm doing something with my life, and have ambitions, but there is nothing material right now that will get me closer in that direction. I would be perfectly fine with getting nothing for my 18th birthday. I'm a big enough financial burden on them anyways for the next few years.

The thing is, they couldn't live with not giving me anything, as they are very traditional in many ways. I thought that the suit would be good because it's something that lasts, and I would get a tailored suit sometime in the next few years anyways.

I got a note that I missed a package on friday, which I'll pick up tomorrow. It could be either the mags or my coffee machine. To be honest I hope it's the coffee machine, I can't live without one much longer.

All good don't worry,

I guess it's good that you don't feel the need for anything material at the moment.

And if they really insist on getting you something go with something like the book thing I suggested, it might not neccesarily be expensive but they'll have to put thought and thus love in it. Books can mean alot to people (atleast to me), and I've had some books recommended by my parents that I really charish, and it coming from them is a big part of that.

Hope for you that your coffee machine comes first, the mags will come eventually...

I'm writing an IB exam on my 18th

:(

there's no way around it though, and i'm having a party the next weekend. Nothing fancy just a few friends in the living room of my parents' place in Vienna. Then we're going downtown for some good music. I really like understated parties, I hate having big "private" parties. One friend made his 18th birthday party as big as possible, and he regrets it. He didn't know half the people at his own birthday party and it was really stressful, when really he just wanted to drink, smoke, and chat with his friends in the back room.

i agree. strip bars are lame. lap dances are lame unless you get happy ending in the end. otherwise you end up walking around with a stiffy or blue balls, or a stiffy and blue balls.

Im planing on doing porn on my 18th.
