I know this has probably been discussed many times, but I don't want to look through the whole thread. I'm looking for new apcs and wonder which is slimmer? petit or nc? I've been lifting so my thighs are a bit bigger now and need a new fit that looks good. Thanks

petit is more tapered from the knee down than the nc. nc is alittle tighter in the thigh compared to the petit, and flares some at the ankle.

sounds like the petit would be the right slim fit for you.

The fit looks good jRga. It looks to be a slim fit since you're sizing down about 3? The 31 looks more to be a baggy fit.

I'd definitely go with the 30 even though it doesn't fit perfect now. It WILL stretch. I'm a 30 for Levi's 514, and a 30 on the Levi's 501 1947s and I bought a 30 for the APC New Standards. They fit perfectly but stretched out a bit. Get the 30.

Thanks for your reply, been moving house lately so not netting all that much recently.

Yeah the 30 seems like they would do the trick. Although I finally found and tried on a 29 yesterday, effectively sizing down 3. Should of taken a snap of the fit, they were a very cosy, but not skin tight. Here, the top two buttons wouldn't tie, but felt safe that over a short time would stretch. Think I've read on here thats a signal for the ideal fit?

Anyway, main thing i wanted to ask; Is just how much stretching in the thigh occurs? If these 29's were to stretch to an out the box 30, think I've found my match.

**Again, have some NS 31's to sell if anyone in UK is interested. Only 5/6 hours wear.

About 2 to 3 % of the job done, I would say, Greglow. You'll have plenty of rocking them ahead of you, preferably rocking them real hard. Enjoy!

So many nice APC updates here, incredible

Only the APC cutoffs are breaking my raw denim heart!!

Did I missed any full pic updates from you Ignaurus?

Snapped this of my Rescues while sitting outside this morning. They were purchased Fall '08, probably about 1.5 years wear.

at about the 10 month mark my petit standards were starting to rip in the crotch:

Decided it was time to attempt to patch them:

First time using a sewing machine, I was relatively please with the result. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pictures.

why do people post their height and weight when asking for sizing advice? that has very little to do with how big around your waist/legs are.. i feel like this is the only thread where those questions get asked, i hate to say it.

just measure your damn waist. take the time...

those look nice but the top button hole looks like it's going to cause you a problem in the near future. you can fix it fairly easily though by learning how to do a button-hole stitch.

here's a link to my petit standards, middle button holes were starting to fray so I just trimmed the frayed portion and stitched up the button hole.

it's held up like that for more than 3 months with no further issues. I think the most important part is to make sure the stitches are very close together to decrease the likelihood of further fraying.

the stitch is really simple, youtube has a video that explains it fairly clearly if you're willing to spend a few minutes with a needle and thread.
