damn i had this on my bookmark for weeks. since i use a vpn on an open network, i figured i could give it a try.

the whole thing doesn't look that sketchy. i'm sure most of the stuff available there are available on private forums, irc and whatnot. sometimes you come across links to stuff that you think could be helpful to you but it doesn't work or is so slow you don't even bother.

LAAAAAAME.

Everything on the hidden wiki just lead to where even more lurkers are. I'm pretty sure the real forums/sites are waay deeper then just THW.

I gave up after an hour or so of digging. The real links/forums are too hard to find.

I remember when I was in middle school one of my friends invited me over to his house with some other people and he accessed some hidden internet websites that he read about. He was all into IRC and through some channel, some guy told how to access a sort of directory of websites. It was pretty neat. There wasn't really anything malacious, I think, back then. It was mostly gross porn and random, encrypted text.

He's still into it. According to him, a lot of stuff on deepnet is hidden for a reason and you're not just going to stumble onto things that people don't want you to stumble onto. Tor, and other stuff, only scratches the surface. He also said that most of it is crazy hyped up beyond belief so that people don't go trying to access things they can't access and to keep things mysterious and exciting. It's like a nerd fort and the moat is a million feet deep filled with sharks, alligators, robots, lizard humanoids and the Feds.

Granted, there are some fucked up people who do fucked up things on it.

This thread also reminded me about how I used to go onto IRC and fuck with random people. Time to reinstall mIRC and see if some channels are still around.

After this thread started I looked into the deep web starting from the hidden wiki and moving onto open forums/ blogs with other random links... I came across a random Tor directory which included tutorials to properly encrypt your hardrive to beyond military level, how to completely surf the deep web without even your ISP knowing, how to send money completely anonymously without your bank knowing...

There were a couple of links that supposedly linked to services that helped you "dissappear". They give you fake passports/ help you move to secure locations without anybody knowing. Child trafficking, drug distribution and a whole lot more... But the thing with these links was that whenever I tried to connect to them I kept getting wierd errors that the server was not responding... When I checked, it seemed that I did get an initial response from the server but I couldn't get authenticated or something...It could just all be fake but there definately is something on the other side thats rejecting my connection

I'm still reading up but I'm going to focus on encrypting my hardrive and also completely securing my web-broswing so not even my isp knows what im on....

Also: http://eqt5g4fuenphqinx.onion/

i don't have TOR installed yet but are these links u posted ^^ to the directory on how to equip ur hardrive to military level etc...?

In 2012 the world will come to understand finally the actual evolution process, the process of bending time and space, the fact that gravity is a wave and not a force and the fact that the whole Universe is run through electromagnetic flux generated through natural process or artificial means.

The earth will also be exposed to possible dangers to our planet that we do not even perceive. Emergency evacuation plans will be created in case of an unseen and unperceived calamity like what happened to Mars millions of years back.

There is a genuine attempt being made to protect our civilization. The earth will be made ready to understand who we are, where is our origin and where is our future.

Even things like what happens to us after death and so on will also become clear in 2012. The world is getting ready for the facts slowly but steadily.

look forward to it

didn't even finish reading the first post but this deep web thing just sounds plain stupid. people love conspiracy theories and are always coming up with these stupid shit. as far as i'm concerned, SuFu is deep web enough with a wealth of information, and if all these classified and secretive information are leaked on the internet (deep or not), they'd be blowing up by now, even on surface web. Sorry I'm late on this topic.

A friend of mine has been using it a lot lately. Visited the site once, still freaks me out.

Yeah some friends of mine have been using it recently as well, but the idea of getting it delivered to your own address seems crazy IMO and even using a dropbox type set up seems risky!

Haven't you guys seen that NSA injected a jscript into most of the deep web that can track your user information back to the IP, and the IP is required to hand over your information. They just shut down a huge pedophile ring, next estimated stop is Silk Road. Not worth it guys...

Interesting, I hadn't. Where did you read this?

"In August 2013, it was discovered that the Firefox browsers in many older versions of the Tor Browser Bundle were vulnerable to a Javascript attack, which was being exploited to send user's IP address and Windows computer name to the attackers. News reports linked this to an FBI operation targeting Freedom Hosting's owner, Eric Eoin Marques. He was arrested on a provisional extradition warrant issued by a US court on 29 July. The FBI is seeking to extradite Marques to Maryland on four charges: distributing, conspiring to distribute and advertising child pornography – as well as aiding and abetting advertising of child pornography. The warrant alleges that Marques is “the largest facilitator of child porn on the planet.â€

IMO its not just old browser bundles, this will continue to be cracked and things like this will get people caught.
