X Post: This is not part of the competition but I thought if there was anyone who was interested in these, he/she will be on this thread...

Here ya go:

I think I ordered these last summer when they were first announced but there was a long and tumultuous process of getting the leather label on etc...i lost track of all the final touches they were putting on it.

I have a couple of N&F pieces in both the Weird Guy and Skinny Guy so I know to order a size 30 in the Weird Guy fit. Surprisingly the 30s seen here were impossibly tight on me. They fit more like the Skinny Guys and with this being unsanforized, I didn't want to take a chance with them shrinking too much so I asked Blue Owl to switch. Thankfully the switch only took a few days! Thanks Jay!

Look how crazy thick the leather patch is!

And the fit:

Denim is very smooth, not slubby, and super thick. It feels like putting on armor. So far no cuts and bruises from this like I had with the 24oz Sammies but the back pockets do dig at the back of my thighs.

Amazing heavy pants!!

I urgently need a new one for the Jeansmuseum, to have one sample in case a heavy used and worn out pants of this kind will reach the museum in a couple of years!!!!

^^^^And DFreshLeish:

Fantastic video: Those APC jeans and other stuff in this vid have reached holy grail status.

Such items deserves to survive for ever for sure!!!!

Major update required from me this weekend.

My Samurai and my Iron Hearts have now received exactly the same amount of wear and washes, so time for some direct comparison of wear, fades, and colour retention properties of 21oz Samurai VX denim, and Iron Heart 18oz Raw denim......the results are very different.

Hey fellow heavyweights. Interesting to see how everyone's jeans are holding up to their respective amount of wear. A lot of threads worn on mine, arcs, belt loops, fly, etc., but those won't greatly affect the longevity of the jeans. The crotch, however, needed some preventative maintenance, so I busted out the good old needle and thread:

Curious to see any repairs on your guys' jeans too!

Well done laxlife!!!

We will wait with patience for more updates on them over the next years. They have great fading potential
