Evisu is still loved!

Evisu apparently makes watches now, but it's international only (perhaps for time being).

Yeah, they got a good, albeit small, mention in FHM magazine this month; been available for a while now but only just made it onto the website.

Oh, and I got the Lot 2001 repainted:

Much better, imho...

gulls look kinda thin. can you request that? also below the knee looks big, have they been soaked/washed?

The stacking below the knee looks a bit funny in that picture because I'd originally used a lot of tape on the inside hem to avoid indigo bleeding on my trainers. As a result, it pushed the stacks up slightly.

I took it out over the weekend, and am going to soak the jeans again this week to see if the leg below the knee will settle down a bit...

2001 - evisu basic cut, button fly, hidden rivet, gull back pocket

2002 - same as 2001, but with zipper fly

2000 - a little more straight silhouette compared to 2001

2000Z - 2000 cut with zipper fly

2004 - buckleback, slightly looser than 2001

2005 - slim straight, even slimmer than 2000, zipper fly

2017 - boot-cut, zipper fly

2101 - lee styled back pocket, but with white paint mark. left hand twill (!)

yamane deluxe - wrangler styled back pocket, very slubby denim with lots of neps.

the paris line

epc1459 - the reversible one

epc1468 - snake and gull back pockets

es04ew - low rise, white gull back pocket, buckle

epc1535 - 3 or 4 kinds of denim materials in one pair of jeans

epc1458 - the so-called spiral cut

epc1544 - the classic pants

epc1461 - large daikoku (daicock?) paint at the back, side pockets on both knees

epc1460 - patched daikoku at the back

epc1457 - the 21 pockets (yucks)

epc1447 - plain back pockets, slight flared bootcut

epc1463 - crane and gull back pockets

So are the 2005 the slimmest japanese evisu jeans ? I have a pair of no.2 lot 2000 size 31. They are good in the waist but I would like them to be thinner overall in the legs and thighs. Are the 2005 significantly slimmer, or should I just get my current pair tailored ?

Just a little follow on question for the Evis(u) gurus: I have a pair of Evis Lot:2504RXX (No.2 denim) - anyone know how they compare to the above; they seem pretty similar to the 2004, but other than that?

Thanks

The pockets on those are different to the current Lot 0331 - the current pockets have a kinda 'spade' shape to the stitching.

And how tall is the person wearing them to be able to cuff them like that? Mine shrunk to a 32 after soaking for an hour...

Im 1,74m. no wash or soak yet and Im wearing them pretty low

Hey guys... just curious if anyone dealt w/ the evisu website, made a purchase on the 17th of july and still haven't received my item yet alone the shipping confirmation. Tried to contact them through their # and email but no response.

link is for painting on the evisu gulls on the back pocket

You can customise either the

slim plain pocket jean EEGHJE10S D85 or

regular plain pocket jean EEGHJE10V D85…

Just a question: Is a pair of old vintage Evis jeans with red tab, worth 200usd? Have no picture but the jeans had some repair..

If you would be prepared to pay that for tem then it is worth it, if you are not then conversly, they're not worth it.

Totally subjective. - hope this help if you are intending to buy, however, it works if you are selling too !

  • 2 weeks later...

Thread's kinda gone dry, so time for some pics...

No.1 Lot 2000 pre-soak:

1408084er8.jpg

I also picked up (unexpectedly) these No.2 Lot 2000 a few days ago, so can make a direct comparison 'tween the two:

140808za5.jpg

1408081vb6.jpg

The design's possibly not what I might have gone for myself, but can't really moan about this particular gift horse.

The No.1s are smaller than tagged size, and now that I got the two pairs in front of me, I'm inclined to hope that those who suggested that they might be one-wash are right. If not, I'm going to have a lot of 'fun' stretching them out when washed next year and they may just be too tight...
