Evisu is still loved!

Well, I only have one pair that's worn in. Worn, but not very noticeable. D85 of course. Still putting in work on them. I really just got into the whole 'create your own fade' thing so I really have nothing to show. I used to really love denim in its raw state.

I'll see if I can get a pic or two just to show where I am.

Do you have contact details for evisu in the US? In particular whoever oversees their website? I need to get in touch with them.

Could try emailing [email protected] with an 'FAO...' in the subject line.

My experience with them has been good, and the few emails I've sent during business hours have been dealt with promptly.

I understand what you mean about his comments. At the same time, if your products aren't good enough for you at anytime, why should I invest in them?

Where are you guys getting this from? I can't recall exactly......... And the yamane brand is essentially evisu.

I saw the plain d85's on the site, but in only a size 30. If they were available in my size, it wouldn't be an issue. I wear size 40 and I like my jeans loose, so my options are very limited when it comes to premium denim. I am also aware of big, but unsanforized size 40's wont work.

They've had sanforized, plain pocket jeans quite a few times. In fact, the international site is currently selling a pair. And they ship world wide.

Point is, I'm only interested in plain pockets now. I have eight pairs with gulls, but I don't plan to stop buying denim. Enough is enough.

No offense, but shouldn't you be trying out different brands? It wouldn't hurt.

It's from that interview with Yamane in that Scottish magazine; I posted the link a few pages ago.

Those are for the D67 plain pockets, the International site also has plain D85 Lot 0001 jeans. I think, if you mail them, that you'd also find that they have plain D85 Lot 0331 as well.

No offense, but shouldn't you be trying out different brands? It wouldn't hurt.

And this could be aimed at half the people in the thread, myself included :)

But we aren't necessarily frustrated with the brand per se. If, after purchasing eight gull branded jeans, barely breaking in any of them and discovering that you want something more simplistic from a brand that revels in its design, I'd say it's time to move on.

Oh yeah, I would post pics of my d67, but they look barely worn. These jeans are for those who like slow faders.

It wouldn't hurt to have a clue before you speak, no offense. This is a Evisu thread, so I'll only discuss Evisu here.

I love the eight pair that I have, so much so, that I would rather buy more evisus to fit my taste for more subtle clothing. I wouldn't look to evisu for plain pockets if I didn't know that they already sold them, knowing that they are a design driven company.

The point was that I will no longer buy any gull branded evisus because I have enough of them that I haven't really broken in. I am only into plain pockets as far as future purchases and will continue to purchase plain pocket Evisus because of my appreciation for their denim.

I thought I was clear about "moving on" from design driven clothes, essentially, Evisu with the phrase "enough is enough." I'm not cursing the brand, just expressing my lack of a need for more gull branded denim. Maybe it wasn't that obvious to you.

No offense.

A clue? What hell does Evisu have to do with me telling you to move onto another brand, particularly if you have issues with their gulls?

Maybe it wasn't that obvious, particularly if you're trying to escape from "design driven" cloths. Good luck on your quest.

A clue about what I've purchased, what I've tried. You have no idea what brands I'm into outside of Evisu so to come at me with this idea that I should "try" something else is to insinuate I know nothing outside of Evisu. Get it?

"Design driven", meaning graphic and logo driven. Of course you knew that, especially given the context (props on the sarcasm), but that wasn't plainly illustrated by me, unlike the original "moving on" point, which is why you addressed me in the first place. LOL

So you wanted me to a get clue about what you like in terms of denim before suggesting you find something else, never mind that I mentioned nothing specific......Makes sense now.

edit in response to your edit:

Actually, I addressed you because you had 8 pairs, had broken in none of them in and were demanding/requesting that evisu release some gull-free jeans or you were not going to buy any more. And my point was, perhaps you should not be buying anymore at all; try something that you haven't.

My apologies.

Let me know if I'm wrong, but here are my interpretations of this quote....

1. You know/assume that I buy nothing but evisu.

2. You know/assume that I haven't tried different brands.

3. You know/assume that I don't like Evisu or the eight gulled pair that I own. I didn't just "discover" a distaste for Evisu all of a sudden, I just do not want to purchase any more logo driven denim. Is it wrong to want something "simplistic" (plain pockets) from Evisu that they already offer, although they "revel in their design" (just like every other respectable company lol)?

4. You're a evisu fanboy that doesn't agree with anyone voicing displeasure with their brand.

5. You didn't comprehend the post you responded to, just like you giving me a link to some "slim" jeans in response to my post stating I like my jeans loose (appreciate the effort though).

demanding/requesting that evisu release some gull-free jeans or you were not going to buy any more.

Your interpretation is off, which is why this is even an issue. I already knew that Evisu made gull free denim. If anything, I just wanted them to make them available on the US site again. Again, I'm not cursing Evisu. I just wanted some gull free Evisu. No, I am NOT going to buy anymore gull driven Evisu because I have ENOUGH of them, most which aren't broken in (should I be ashamed of this?), which is what I stated. I didn't say I wasn't going to wear them. I just don't see how my point wasn't clear from the get-go.

Evisu is great. I obviously have a high opinion of them if I own 8 pairs and I'm still seeking to purchase one or two plain pocket evisus.

What is all this? Didn't I already clear my meaning up? Or are you trying to further enlighten everyone else, who I'm certiain is enjoying us shitting up this thread, about how you might have misinterpreted my meaning, or I yours?

Good for you.

4. You're a evisu fanboy that doesn't agree with anyone voicing displeasure with their brand.

Yes. very true, even though I've stated (several times), throughout this topic, that Evisu doesn't make the best denim. And I even recommended you try "other" brands.

Furthermore, If someone dislikes the brand. WHy come here to express it? We are evisu fanboy's in here. You do realize that?

5. You didn't comprehend the post you responded to, just like you giving me a link to some "slim" jeans in response to my post stating I like my jeans loose (appreciate the effort though).

Gee, you ever consider sizing up or simply getting your true size? Particularly since those jeans run larger than tagged size (translation loose) when you get your true size.

I'm so sorry I offended you kind sir. But, I'm done.

LOL.

I Could not agree more with this sentiment. QFT.

I like slow faders...wearing jeans that are specifically designed to produce quick, amazing fades kinda defeats the object for me...

Indeed, which is why I'm always intrigued when people tell me (offline that is) brands like Nudie, which are admittedly intended for fading, are the best denim available. Most folks, truthfully, want a quickie (didn't salaami say something like this?). From my understanding though, true vintage denim ages quicker.

Excuse the double post, but I thought I'd jump in before the impending rush of pics of worn denim to shit the thread up some more with denim pornography.

Came across these jeans on the 'net just now, and am pretty intrigued:

^Crash those jeans look pretty cool... I assume they're natural indigo? who knows? but it looks like the back rise on those is almost as long as the waist which is goofy. Also, check out the tab- those must be way old!

ill assume that it is a '44, 47, or 55 cut hence the reference to the 501. there's a few used pairs on yahoo japan, but i didnt really want to compare sizing through vague translations but they do look decent. http://search.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/search/auc?p=evisu+2501&auccat=0&submit=%B8%A1%BA%F7&alocale=0jp&acc=jp

secound that how much?

They're not for sale Chambo, they're from a thread on a HK website:

http://66.102.1.100/translate_c?hl=en&sl=zh-TW&u=http://www28.discuss.com.hk/viewthread.php%3Ftid%3D3918824%26extra%3D%26page%3D1&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dyamane%2Bdeluxe%2Bjeans%26start%3D50%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN&usg=ALkJrhhgIdEk4WZoTVZ4_WKsqR1rED_6pA

I'm going to raid the thread for pics every so on, when this one needs livening up.

Some pretty cool denim there, like these Yamane Deluxe. Check out the amended patch, similar to Coleslawyum's Lot 2006
