So I already had posted post-soak measurements. They were about 37" waist pre-soak and even WITH waist stretcher about 35" waist post-soak, so these run WAAAAYYYYY smaller than tagged size, which sucks for me since I'm about a 96-98CM waist.

They're stiff as a BOARD. For denim which FEELS about 13-14oz, these were as stiff as my 17oz samurais post soak, and about as hairy:

Wow that's alot of shrinkage. It was the largest available waist, right? That wouldn't work for me even in a 2001 cut

Also, I'm glad Evisu moved the finishing process for their international jeans to Macau, the quality seems to have improved tenfold.

Any of the ratuken shops that ship to the US will ship 2000 cuts to the US if they stock them.

The only US store that stocks 2000/2001 cuts is BiG (confirmed by email to evisu, by me) and they're out of stock but restocking is in process.

And yes the shrinkage was brutal. It didnt help that they measured SMALLER than tagged size to begin with...

I was looking through some of my old Evisu's and I started comparing details (slow night). Looks like the only thing consistent about these jeans is the name, or maybe not (Evisu or Evis?). Here are some pics that I thought I'd share. Sorry for the long posts.

To be fair, the shrinkage was slightly less than normally expected (-2.5" or thereabouts) but like you say, it would have made life easier if they'd have been tagged size from the off.

I'm sure you've seen what I had to do with Lot 2000, which was two sizes down from tagged size. They fit great now though, although I still spent last night wearing them damp from the washer as they need a little stretch every time they're washed.

I think it depends on whether the painter him- or herself is willing to do something different from the standard kanji.

Don't know if I mentioned it before, but London's to be given a designated, as yet unknown, colour at some point soon. Loving the colour of the blue gulls on those 2000s Ed, by the way...
