Yup, Central Market is awesome. The fruit selection is always the best in town and I could spend obscene amounts of money in the cheese and beer sections.

Actually what I was doing yesterday…

I was out of town for the week again, so lots of driving through rural Texas, which means that I occasionally see random animals on the ranch. First up, (imagine this in Shrek’s voice)-

Then, some surprisingly mangy looking bison-

OK, well maybe crazy is more Texan…

When I finally got to the house, I reviewed the progress, or lack thereof, on our renovations. Part of the time was spent having an illuminating conversation with the tile supplier, in which I found out that the definition of “in stock” includes tile that is actually in California and won’t be in Houston for a week. Note my incredulous expression as this is explained to me, in a tone clearly conveying that not only are my expectations unreasonable, but also that my intellect is surpassed by a Mongoloid gerbil…

The day was not a complete waste, as I did receive a nice little package in the mail from JimmyC and Iron Heart-

Well, it's Saturday. So I spend the day out with my girlfriend and my Nikon. We went to Waikiki and tried out this Takoyaki place. It was delicious.

Last night I attended a pretty cool concert.

A mass of people waiting for Imogen Heap.

Imogen Heap! She was fantastic! Made the crowd produce background music as she did a song acoustically. Beautiful!

Made friends with a guy in this very interesting makeshift toilet, and he wanted a photo demonstrating how the urinal worked. He's holding on to the curved door which you have to step through to pee through a hole.

Trombone Shorty and the Orleans Avenue! Amazing performance! If you haven't seen them live, I strongly suggest you do! Bring your best dancing shoes!

Had a pretty chill weekend in anticipation of going on holidays this Friday (SG-CN-HK). Spent most of the morning working but then got to babysit de facto sister-in-law's dog since she was on holidays with her fam. Dog is so fucking cool. Part Rhodesian Ridgeback, but mostly Greyhound. Surprisingly strong for such a lean mutt.

The Glebe foreshore is a beautiful spot in Sydney. Right on the water and the whole thing is parklands. A lot of off-leash space for dogs to have fun.

Loves to play fetch, hates to drop the stick.
