About to place an order on Jetpens

1- Sharbo X (For taking notes)

1- Pilot Frixion Gel Ink 04 (For essays and shit since it's erasable)

2- Pilot Just Meet Mecanical Pencils (what ever fuck writing)

Of course, a refill or two of each and erasers and the whole shabang.

Any propositions from you pen/pencil lovers?

Thanks yaaaaaallllllllll

you guys misunderstand the sharbo pencil.

the mechanical pencil "component" is simply that -- it just holds lead and dispenses it. you can buy a refill of lead like a normal mechanical pencil and replace the lead once it runs out. diameter is the only size you need to keep in mind. if it doesn't fit lengthwise, just snap the lead and insert it.

save yourself the money and buy the pencil component, lead refills (i use uni) and a good eraser (mitsubishi boxy is my eraser of choice)

2 ink and 1 pencil or 2 ink and one stylus

kenthenoob uses 2 ink and blank pencil/stylus to have a dedicated "off" setting.

Lozinski, this is what you need for a complete sharbo:

ink: http://www.jetpens.com/index.php/cPath/91_786_787

1- Sharbo X (For taking notes) ....

You're gonna love it! :)

My two recent pen purchases - yet anther instance of EDC thread-induced spending! :P

I also picked up this "germ bomb" for my little girl:

And this for me:

Both from survivalstraps.com, and each made with a single length of paracord. How'd they do that?

I need braiding skillz :(

While I'm here.... Today's EDC. I'm just hanging out at home, cuz the BM doesn't get taken outside...

Thanks Solix - and that tutorial is just what I needed! :)

Ken, the pencil case is from 2nd - they sent it with some samurai I ordered a few years ago, so I'm not sure if it's available....

Lozinski and Greasypeanut did you get the ST3 or LT3?
hey riff, how much was the samurai pencil case?

greasy, i could've sold you my lt3 i don't use :|

oh yeah, i have the blood red ink component.

i actually got the st3. i watched bern's comparison on youtube and the bigger diameter sealed the deal for me. also that i wanted it in white, and the lt3 didnt come in white (i love seeing denim stains on my white phone). on jet pens they have the sharbo x f-line lady pen in white...but i couldnt in good conscience get a a pen made for women.

hows the blood red, im really interested if it looks like blood lol (my fav color)? i ended up getting orange since it would be a happy looking contrast to the black pen for note taking

James McLurkin's backpack. For those of you who don't know, McLurkin (best name ever btw) is a leading figure in robotics, working in building swarm/autonomous robots. I thought it was cool to peek into his backpack and see what he's packing. I thought it especially cool that they were profiling not just what he bought, but why he bought it as well.

Enjoy, EDC nerds!

Finally got some items in I'd been waiting on from Amazon (the watch and light)

New school year EDC:

Timex Expedition Classic T40051

Old American Eagle wallet

Spyderco Persistence

Streamlight Microstream

Keys w/ S-biner & Leatherman Squirt S4

Pilot Precise V7 RT.

PS: VERY impressed with the Streamlight Microstream. Pretty much what I had been looking for. Extremely small, 1xAAA light with momentary/forward clicky. Rated at 20 Lumens, 1.5 hrs runtime on single cell. Runtime isnt that impressive considering other lights at higher lumen ratings, but since this is a single mode that I will be carrying in the day time, I find it just fine. Has very good pocket clip and neck lanyard is included.

And then, when I was looking for uses of paracord, I ran across this survival nut's website and EDC : http://www.m4040.com/Survival/Survival%20Kit.htm

He's pretty hardcore, having apparently sutured himself together on a camping trip. Okay, enough EDCing from me~
