i did true to size..

I don't have skinny legs, i'm around 5'9, and i'm 155lbs..

knees up it looks ok, but knees down are killing me

maybe i'm just not used to the fit, i'll throw some fit pics up tomorrow..

Hmm.. I went tts too 33/36. I'm 5'10ish about 185. I'm liking the fit on mine so far.

Definitely throw up some pics.

And finally my personal favorite the "Cool Kids in Arizona"

How sad is it that we all know exactly what you're referring to even if you didn't post a pic for reference LOL

I personally prefer a slim Double Cuff myself on my own jeans but the classic looks pretty "classic" on you...

I'm doing 3 soaks. Once a straight-up hot soak, a second while wearing, and a third hot to help kill the artificial combs. Should get most of the shrinkage out.

Just a single cuff with a little break.

hmm.. dryer or not.. i'm very tempted to throw these into the dryer

according to Cone, that's one think that really fucks with the fade, because it pulls out some of the residue of the resins, and the indigo is likely to go with it.

Cold soak, hot soak, or warm wash all won't make much difference - it's the dryer that kills them...

if someone could tell me how to rock the 1937s, it is the baggiest out of the bunch of jeans that I have and most of my clothes are fitted.. I am having a hard time trying to match my wardrobe with this..

Really skinny tops, or '>short jackets that stop at or above the waist . I acknowledge that this gives you a cold back. if you're thinking baggy is tough, try wearing the 201!

I put mine on for like 10 minutes this morning ... then decided i'd give them a hem before wearing them (and didn't want to wear them into BIG and get them the hem them) - I'll probably put a fit pic up tomorrowish

Thanks ADDIC, david.s, jpsmith!

Im loving the fit and the jeans. been wearing them all day.

wheres other fit pics at?

Just threw some fit pics up on the pictures page from right before I left for work...

It strange that even though these jeans are a "slim cut" they feel super baggy after wearing my 3Sixteen slim leg jeans for the past few weeks. Like any other new pair after a few weeks these will feel like "normal" ....

howdy friends -- i've been wearing a pair of 47's since the beginning of october, and, until the past few days, had little interest in actually participating in any contests (sheer, ineffable laziness). but -- and maybe this is simply some latent disputatious aspect of my personality manifesting itself now -- i believe i should be able to join in the good times. what's the difference? i'll just end a few months before everyone else. i bought them from cultizm and, because i'll soon be seen on a&e, have managed to hoard the invoice. to be clear, i'm half joking, but certainly half probing as well.

I have a question for those wearing the 1944 S501:

- how much extra was in the waist - Cultizm website said .5-1" and

- how much shrinkage did you get in the waist after soak?

Thanks!

X-post from LVC thread

Cultizm contest has started! So it's time to post some fit pics of my 1947 555 Valencia!

Before the pics here are the measurements for those interested!

Tag size is 30x38 (I'm 5'8'')

Pre-soak:

Waist: 29.25''

Leg opening: 8.25''

Inseam: 37"

Knee: 8.75''

Rise: 11"

Back rise: 15.5"

Post-soak (one hour'ish hottest tub water, hanged then worn till dry when still damp but not dripping):

Waist: 28''

Leg opening: 8''

Inseam: 34"

Knee: 8.5''

Rise: 10"

Back rise: 13.5"

Fit Pics Post-soak:

Love the fit of these jeans, a little diaper butt IRL but that's fine.

Quite a different fit and roomier feel than my other jeans in rotation now (PBJ 007 w28, Dukes w29[could have done 28] both skin tight at first but 1" looser everywhere now), as the 47' i can pinch around 1'' anywhere post soak.

At first I thought ordering 38" would be too long and need a hem but I guess it turned out great.

Now all i need is a pair of boots to match them (maybe a belt too!).

Comments?

P.S.

And if anyone's interested in the pre-soak fit picks: http://www.superfuture.com/supertalk/showthread.php?p=2040056#post2040056

Mine were 3" over tagged size. This coincides with Paul T's sizing info for the new season. Got em soaking now. I'll let you know how much they shrink.
