also agreed

i have the skull 5010xx i picked up from self edge with the new cross stitching and they have needed to be repaired after only one month of wear....the inseem was coming out, coin pocket, left pocket stitching, the yoke was fucked

now they are even worse.

oh well

does anybody have any pictures of the damage due from the so-called crappy stitching or crappy construction of the skulls? i've had a pair of skulls for a few months now, but i've actually put them on hold since i first got them to work on a diff. pair of jeans.

Skull 5010x 6x6 (one-wash)sz. 31 @ 3.5 months. They're too big for me so I only wear them to work really...they're pretty fucking dusty, surprised they look blue in the pictures. The lap is covered in dust/dirt from work. There's also a little blood on them but I don't think you can see it.

I soaked them when I got them trying to shrink some, one hot soak when they were pretty brown, and spray of cold water once I think.

i've owned these jeans for a little longer than a month, and have worn them pretty hard the past three weeks. when i purchased them back in july, i selected my true size -- 32. since then, i have lost 20 pounds. consequently, the waist seems a tad too loose. any input or suggestions for creating a better fit would be appreciated.

^ That's a toughie - they are a one-wash, but they'll still shrink a bit with a hot soak and subsequent washes I believe. Even if that works, a problem would be that the existing distressing you've got already might shift locations. Interested to hear what others say on this...

Hey breams, thank you for input. Contrary to your assertion that these are a one-wash, they are actually the raw edition -- purchased from self edge. Regardless, a hot soak does seem to be in order.

I already posted this question in the "How do these fit..." thread, but feel this thread may be a more appropriate place to expect accurate input and suggestions. Is there a difference between one-wash jeans and sanforized ones? Additionally, could my 5507xxs be both raw and sanforized, since the latter process occurs in the earlier stages? I realize these questions are very naive. However, I would like to have an idea of how much shrinkage I should anticipate from a hot soak.

No, you got it there. They are raw and sanforized. The only Skull model that isn't sanforized is the 5000XX. If you got the raws, there will be a tiny bit of shrinkage with a wash, but nothing drastic. Maybe half an inch or so at most, I'd guess.

What about the middle button, you're going to leave it unbuttoned? :P
