However we'd like you to come to our Osaka shop.

Please enjoy to try on various Skull Jeans.

The indigo denim use robe dyeing usually.

We use "KASE SOME (hank dyeing)" for the color denim (contains black).

Because the KASE SOME is good method for a healthy color and texture.

Of course both dye methods is traditional and needs craftsmanship.

The KASE SOME is dyed to the core of the yarn unlike the indigo.

And we use the Zimbabwe long cotton made uneven for the warp woof separate from standard yarn of indigo.

Therefore fade of color denim is different from indigo.

The color denim is fade like a ATARI(how do you say it in English?).

But it have a characteristic fading.

wow! the explanation of the technical term is difficult in English for me.haha:p

I guess this answers it, they won't fade very well, defnitely wont get whiskers and such.

Very nice jeans still, I would buy a pair if I had money. I wonder if they'll still be in your inventory in 5 years when I've finished school :x

yes. i find it is very difficult to translate technical descriptions, too. i'm so glad you mentioned kase zome, though. i never knew how it translated into english. thank you.

if you don't mind me asking, why go with hank dyeing instead of rope dyeing? is it because you get a richer color with kase zome so it's worth sacrificing a more indigo-like fade?

i got my skull 5010XX today in the mail, and i must admit that the quality is outstanding. The jeans are absolutely beautiful, HOWEVER, they are a little loose fitting than i had expected (keep in mind that my last jean was a nudie long john, so i'm used to wear skin tight).

Im trying to decide what to do with these, keep them and just get used to wearing looser jeans, pass them off to a friend, OR have them tailored. I know most of u will hate the latter idea.

Any ideas? what would happen if i get these tailored, will i be sacrificing the quality and craftmanship?

That's right.

your guess is right, like your spelling of Japanese pronunciation;)

the color by kase Zome(yes!) is very richer than rope dyeing.

Because the color dyestuff is poorly stained.

therefore the color doesn't get attractive color easily unlike indigo.

It is the main reason why we chose KASE ZOME and Zimbabwe cotton.

the result is these our pics:)

because there have been rumours of that floating around...

It's true.

And you all may be able to know a part of answer for this soon.

But we must say to you that the detail is secret now;)

I'm interested in picking up a pair of Skulls. I'm just curious about people's experience with the sizing. I usually wear a 27 or 28 in APC (Hipsters and Cures), which is not crushingly tight on me. I'm thinking I'd need a 29 or 30 in the Skulls? Does anyone have any first-hand experience going from APCs to Skulls?

Shinichi-san sent me the sizing chart, but some anecdotal information would be helpful as well. Thanks.

i have a 30 in apc new cures (note that i prolly could have gotten a 29). In the skull 5010XX i got a 30 and i would say they fit perfect, a little snug but they will stretch out a tiny bit (not alot since they aren't raw but one wash).

Had i gotten 5010XX 6X6 i probably could have gotten a 29 since they are a little bigger at the waste, and had i gotten raw i for sure would have gotten a 29.

So i would say that 30 would be a little big on you (unless u want them loose), i would say get a 29 for sure in the one wash, size down again for raw 6X6.
