Iron Heart Jeans

Way out west there was this fella I wanna tell ya about. Goes by the name of Jeff Lebowski. At least that was the handle his loving parents gave him, but he never had much use for it himself. See, this Lebowski, he called himself "The Dude". Now, "Dude" - there's a name no man would self-apply where I come from. But then there was a lot about the Dude that didn't make a whole lot of sense. And a lot about where he lived, likewise. But then again, maybe that's why I found the place so darned interestin'. See, they call Los Angeles the "City Of Angels"; but I didn't find it to be that, exactly. But I'll allow it as there are some nice folks there. 'Course I ain't never been to London, and I ain't never seen France. And I ain't never seen no queen in her damned undies, so the feller says. But I'll tell you what - after seeing Los Angeles, and this here story I'm about to unfold, well, I guess I seen somethin' every bit as stupefyin' as you'd seen in any of them other places. And in English, too. So I can die with a smile on my face, without feelin' like the good Lord gypped me. Now this here story I'm about to unfold took place in the early '90s - just about the time of our conflict with Sad'm and the I-raqis. I only mention it because sometimes there's a man... I won't say a hero, 'cause, what's a hero? Sometimes, there's a man. And I'm talkin' about the Dude here - the Dude from Los Angeles. Sometimes, there's a man, well, he's the man for his time and place. He fits right in there. And that's the Dude. The Dude, from Los Angeles. And even if he's a lazy man - and the Dude was most certainly that. Quite possibly the laziest in all of Los Angeles County, which would place him high in the runnin' for laziest worldwide. Sometimes there's a man, sometimes, there's a man. Well, I lost my train of thought here. But... aw, hell. I've done introduced it enough.

For better or worse, Haraki san and the Triple Works booth was present at the Capsule Show in Las Vegas.

With the likes of DJ AM (RIP) parading it in front of cameras I sincerely hope Iron Heart doesn't become mainstream but at the end of the day it is still a business I guess.

DJAM loved Iron Heart, he bought shit loads of the stuff from us (inc 2 pairs of 5 year Anniversary's!) and I know he bought loads from Kiya too. In was inevitable that once in a while he'd get snapped wearing the stuff.

I really don't think that IH will become mainstream, Haraki-san is dead against devaluing/downgrading the brand. There are very few workshops that can actually sew the 21oz and higher denim, and he has already filled the capacity of the best of those workshops. For those of you have wanted an Iron Heart shirt in the past and been disappointed, that's because he only buys a roll or two of what he considers to be the absolute best fabric for the shirt. IHSH18 and IHSH-19 are due to be released any minute and far fewer than we'd like are being made, that will continue to happen. Good and and bad, I guess.

The Triple Works concept is very different from Iron Heart, yes the range is designed by Haraki, but the denim, the design and the range will be distinctly different from Iron Heart.

Fear not, the Iron Heart brand will retain it's identity and ethos, of that I'm sure.

I am planning some Iron Heart 301S.

I have looked on Self Edges' site and even after contacting Kiya I am still a little confused ( I hope he dosen't mind me contacting the forum about this)

I have some IH 461 in tag size 34" and after wearing for a while they fit great.

On the Self Edge site it says size one up on 301S ( so size 36" for me ) as they run small but after contacting Kiya he says buy 34" as the 36 would be too big.

I also have some Flat Head 3001 in 34" and they fit great too.

How are people finding the fit on 301S and how are you sizing them.

I want them slim but not skinny.

i tried on the 301s at self edge and sized down one to a 27. I wear size 28, height: 5'6 weight: 125lbs. if you're able to try them on before you buy, a good size is when you can barely button up the top button. They'll feel tight in some areas at first but they'll eventually stretch out comfortably after a couple wears.

I am planning some Iron Heart 301S.

Really? I'm 5'2, 100lbs and those are a 28 and look at the way they fit me

Hm, I guess because my body wasn't putting constant pressure on them, they didn't stretch. Boyfriend cut from the start.

I'm a measured 33 in the waist and am a sz. 32 in the 301s so I would have to agree, sz. down 1. As far as the stretch factor, people fail to point out the fact that jeans aren't going to just 'stretch' for stretch sake. If there is no pressure applied, they aren't going to just out of no where start stretching. You can indeed get away with sizing down on a lot of jeans since they will stretch out, but it really boils down to the fit and your comfort. As I recall, 'If the jean fits, wear it.' Looks like sufu disagrees : P

I wear a size 36 in all my denim. I bought the 301's in a size 36. The fit is good but a little roomy in the waist and at the side of the lower hips. I wish they made a size 35. I have about 40 days on mine and they have stretched out a bit. These jeans are great. The denim is very comfortable.

@musicisdead

damn brah, what are you doin' with your IH for that 3 months? curious here, that looks really cool! any wash or soak info? too bad can't rep :(

I honestly didn't do anything. I put the jeans on the day I got them and never washed them or anything. They faded REALLY fast for some reason. I was told at SE that they wouldn't fade fast at all but they really did...
