The 2nd and 3rd are very similar to previous FW08 Danner Japan releases whereas I haven't seen the 1st one recently.

You could save yourself some solid cash by just getting the FW08 ones unless you're over a true US 10.5?

got a pair of quoddy boat shoes a month or two ago on eBay and love them. i'm normally a 10.5 but got a size 10 that fits perfectly. definitely will be watching those...

they aren't stiff at all really

they are heavy

insanely comfortable with hiking socks

it is actually suede/roughout but the nap is matted down---they've been treated with some waterproofing stuff

Those are tits, DD. I'm eyeing a similar pair. Cheap as they are, I can't bring myself to do it without knowing at all how they'll feel. Too often I take a chance and end up with some ill fitting waste of money.

These are probably the best thing I've seen in a while far as HFMBs go. Don't think they've been posted here yet.
