Most APCs seem to have a "dirty" look post wash even that I like. The areas that may be whiter on some jeans is more beigeish. Make sense? Love those.

I just measured. Those NS are a 31. I also have a pair of hipsters that are similarly worn that measure 32.

those mccoys are pretty neat, however, I like doctorgnars dirty looking apseeyas much better.. something about dirty brown fading as opposed to overly contrasted white fading that I like, which is the appeal of those brown weft julian reds and the sweet fade of the helmuts back on page 11 that I used to look at everyday before the guy deleted one of the images from, his photobucket... wish I'd saved the front shot of those things

these are a pair of 501xx stf cheapos, bought in November 2005, no washes. starches pretty regularly, wore one biking in the pouring rain (caught me by surprise).

they came out pretty nice for a pair of 30 dollar jeans (thank you levi's friends and family)

haha dude, taiwan's east asia. southeast asian air is warm, muggy and not conducive to jeans wearing at all. hence my crappy new standards.

再台灣買這些日本品牌的褲子通常還是不便宜,所以如果可以還是從日本買比較划算

Even with all those that have great jeans with the wash every couple months philosophy, I still have a hard time bringing myself to do it.

However, I don't have the time to look up, but I think ZK mentioned earlier that he waited 6 mo. before first wash, then more often after.

here's a quick translation since this post is pretty amazing.

i asked zk how many pairs of jeans he has; also if taiwan's got alot of denimheads - and whether japanese denim's expensive there

in taiwan plenty of guys love the jeans, and he's collected jeans for some time.

apart from the Joe McCoy he's got about 230 pairs on hand.

this is an approximate figure cos most of them are in storage, he likes to buy 2 or 3 pairs of the models he likes cos he's afraid they'll go out of production.

the joe mccoys in his photo album are ones he's very lucky to have managed to get before they went out of production; joe mccoy is one of his favourite labels.

he's got some Sugar Cane goods as well, but buying japanese brands like this in taiwan isn't cheap, therefore if possible it's always more value-for-money to head to japan to shop for jeans.
