Super great updates on those two jeans! It's so beautiful to see those strong fading structures just at the right places with nice combs and stacking. The real cowboy style like seen on the old days!!!!!

I can't wait to see the evo of those Jack & Jones Jeans. I just have seen a new one last year, but I can imagine that they could have a great fading potential.

Just wanted to take some pre-wash pics really quick. Currently in the wash right now.

Roy x Cone contest jeans. Just over five months of wear. Three hot soaks with agitation. Put them through their first wash - heavy agitation, nearly-boiling-hot, Dr. Bronner's almond

Before

Notice how different the color of the denim is on the waistband - where it's regularly covered by my belt - and you'll have an idea of how much filth I'm exposed to on a daily basis (you don't even want to imagine the color of the water that comes off me when I shower at the end of the day)

IMG_3066.jpg

IMG_3065.jpg

In the wash they went, with Dr. Bronner's (almond flavored... mmmm...) and a shitload of nearly-boiling water, heavily agitated (but not spun)

I snagged some of the water when they were finished washing

IMG_3068.jpg

And the result. Night and freaking day. I didn't know they were blue!

Love the shell overlock stitch fades...

IMG_3093.jpg

and the striation of color

IMG_3095.jpg

The Ugandagrime has permanently stained the denim in splotches, as you can see a bit in this photo - there are dark splotches all over the fabric. Kinda like denim leopard-spots!

Also love the cinch-fades

Before and after fit. The waist shrunk from 32 to 30.5 and the inseam from 33.75 to 33.

Not sure what's with the ass-cleavage in the after shot, though. Bit disturbing, eh?

Evisu lot 2000 no2, MIJ, handpaint. X-post evisu love, evo:

Again, some nice weather on the roof:

Obviously I am exposing for the sky here. There is a tremendous amount of light and it's about 80 degrees F and maybe 70% humidity.

5846379471_533c17b028_b.jpg

I purchased these in November of 2009. When I've worn them, I've worn them continuously. The only breaks were in the coldest weather in NYC when I had some Wind element samurais, or days when I wore shorts or when these were in for repair. I got them back today from either their 4th or 5th repair. Repairs have been performed to both hems (at a fold line), the crotch (many times), both pockets, the patch, the lap, belt loops, the rear pocket where I have my wallet, the material over the fly, and possibly other places that I didn't notice.
