in college, i had a hippie roommate who always wore birks. the worst part was that he had to cut through my bedroom to get to the bathroom, and he always left really stinky footprints on my hard wood floors.

sweaty bare feet + leather + many days of wear = scary combination.

Socks help though. But look ridiculous.
