man, this is great news. the denim they use for the 660 is the 1000XX denim, considered by many in japan to be the best denim in the world. at that price, i cannot pass this up, contest or no.

no, the pics in the rakuten link don't represent the denim well. even the one wash is much darker than those pics. i think there is a 1000XX denim thread somewhere on here. maybe check the encylopedia.

but, you can see that they wear beautifully. and the fit of the 660 is really great.

from my experience (i'm half-taiwanese so i spend a good amount of time in asian countries) a good amount of asian people like to wear their pants relatively high. it's really not "up" his ass though, when i wore my samurai's at my waist they looked like that but my ass crack was unpenetrated.

This is pretty awesome, thanks Cheep. I would also like to point out how cool it is to get nice Japanese denim in the states for less than Japanese retail. We are talking APC prices!

Only potential issue for me is that these might be really tight. I am seeing a 20cm leg opening, which is Dior tight. If this is misleading and they are more like S5000 I am sold, but I can't handle PBJ XX-005 tightness.

Still would probably do it just cause of the price though

20cm isnt that tight... my vintage 80s redlines in size 30 are a 19cm opening.
