I thrifted them more than 10 years ago and only wore them a couple times before I mothballed them in favor of Docs. They were in perfect condition, but I guess they weren't rock'n'roll enough for me at that time.

After I returned my AF60s I remembered them and pulled them out of the closet. They are still very stiff- so I find myself breaking in shoes that are 10 years old. The soles are Goodyear rubber, but don't seem near as nice as the AF60s.

No idea how to dig up info.

They were tagged as shell cordovan- I suppose I could have been deceived. At that time I was not on the hunt for cordo- just cool cheap boots.

The leather inside and out looks a lot like the leather on the Aldens, which is what triggered my memory.

I'll shoot some pics and post them tonite for you to train your expert eye on and make the final determination.
