The one time a Strikeforce show blows the UFC out of the water and most people didnt even realize there was an event

I think that pretty fairly sums up the organization out side of Norcal.

GSP doesnt have that killer instinct. He's a really nice guy that just happens to enjoy martial arts and is extremely good at it.

You have to have that small bit of rage in you to beat someone into giving up, or snapping a limb because they just refuse to tap and I dont think thats a part of his being.

He's also stated on a few occasions that he doesnt feel its worth putting himself in a possible bad position, or lose his positive position by attempting a sub or anything.

i wonder why gsp never tried to end it. Seems like he couldve at any point although kos did deny some takedowns

He has certainly finished fights in the past (Hughes, Serra, Trigg come to mind), as of late though he appears content to grind his opponents down for decision wins. It also seems that he only goes in for the kill when he's "100%" that he can finish them. May not make for the most exciting title defenses, but at least they're more exciting than some of A. Silva's recent title fights. :D

Oh for sure that was a different GSP on a few different levels, nevermind the fact those finishes where there. If you remember GSP from back then was kind of cocky and kind of had a hero worship issue. He was really into throwing in that Karate training and flashy superman punches to build a name for himself and impress the rest of the division. The current GSP is a much calmer, methodical, and cotent yet still extremely competitive one. Further, his bread and butter is now getting the takedown and passing guard like fucking butter then just throw 'bows until a position opens up and he'll jump on it but he's not going to risk a sweep or put himself in any sort of risk if he can, without opposition control the fight through top game grappling.

Also A lot of the time Greg tells him to either sit in guard and throw punches or pass guard and throw punches and do absolutely nothing more. Gotta listen to Yoda!

Apparently the Uno fight isnt happening because he is hurt but K1 wanted to look good by announcing his fight even though he's already informed them of his injury.
